OK but wouldn't rush back

Bad timing -it was a hot day and both inside and out were very hot. Indoors should be airconditioned. Food was pricey, for lunch Water was room temp, had to ask for ice

One of my favourites for lunch whem am in Margaret River. The pizzas are great and so is the wine selection! A great place to wine and dine all amongst the vineyard.

It used to be one of our favourite watering holes in the Margaret River, but alas it has fallen for the lure of the mighty dollar and lost its shine. What a shame! Since our last trip the restaurant has expanded with a covered terrace area. The menu has been amended to suit the needs of fast foodies, with all... More

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit to Hay Shed Hill. As the chef head chef for the past 2 ½ years, I am saddened to read of your experience. I am however a little perplexed by your observations regarding the food. Our food is not fast and most dishes require days of preparation before arriving on the... More

We wanted to buy some cheese for a cheese board for our evening meal and we were referred from another local winery. We we're told they imported cheeses from around the world and oh yes they do! We tasted and bought:- Vancouver 2014 cheddar cheese of the year, Spanish cheddar, italian picante, French Brie, wild mushroom sea salt and lovely... More

We were taken to this winery as part of a tour. The minute we got in there we were taken over to the wine tasting area by this loud, pompous guy and told quite rudely that if we were going to talk loud or be loud, he would stop letting us taste wine. We had literally just walked in the... More

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at Cellar Door. During the summer period the Cellar Door has a higher volume of traffic and congestion of customers, from general public to large tour groups. Capturing customers attention can be very difficult but it was never the intention to offend, in which I apologies. We pride ourselves here at Hay... More

We arrived with no booking but had been told to go to Hay Shed for lunch by a nearby winery to find the best food in the area. The recommendation turned out to be totally correct . The service was friendly and knowledgeable ,we had a plate of charcuterie to share and marinated Kingfish to share which was perfectly done... More

My friend and I came here for a relaxing breakfast on Sunday. Whilst the breakfast menu is brief, approx 6 options, I had no trouble picking. We both chose the baked eggs with chorizo, Chilli sauce (minus croutons) - and the coffee was the stunning 5 Senses local blend. We were so full and relaxed we didn't leave until half... More

As we pulled up to the winery, we all commented on how nice the place looked, very country, lots of charm. We entered the cellar door to try some wine and that's when it all fell apart. We were immediately confronted by a staff member behind the counter who told us that as we had arrived in a bus, we... More

Excellent food and great service. Served by a lovely kiwi lady, Asheeqwa?.. that made us laugh and feel relaxed. All dishes were a perfect fusion of modern techniques using solid traditional flavours. Will definitely go back.
