As fairly regular local customers the arrival of Louis is yet another improvement. We stayed in town at a fantastic bnb (see related post) who booked us here for dinner on night 1. The food is great!! The fish and chips were some of the best i've had in a really long time. We spent a lovely evening here, helpful, friendly staff, gorgeous setting, amazing food! Have a homemade pie, wow! We'll definitely be going back.

We have been eating here for some time now and whilst the food has always been good the new chef has had a massive impact. The menu has had a facelift and provides so much more choice now. Had an excellent Sunday lunch there yesterday. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. The quality of the food especially the roast meat is excellent, as it is often difficult to find quality home cooked food these days in pubs. I certainly wouldn't hesitate recommend to others. 8 of us went to this pub Dec2014 just before Christmas as we like to drive out to the villages for a meal every now and again. The table was not booked but told no problem it is a lovely little pub we had to wait ages for the main meal thought it was never coming out I think it... More
