The Castle Kitchen is the perfect place to have coffee/tea or lunch before you start walking in the beautiful surroundings of Nunney. The owner is very, very kind and welcoming. We can highly recommend this nice little restaurant.

Wafts of chicken and tarragon hit us as we walked through the door to be met by a very friendly lady. We had lovely coffee, excellent cake (almond, gooseberry and elderflower) and brownie in a relaxing, beautiful spot close to Nunney Castle. We took a rabbit pie home to warm through for lunch. The mustard sauce and the pie were... More

A small cafe-style place, we arrived when just two tables were occupied. Drinks came fairly quickly, but then a party of 8 appeared and we had to wait quite a while for our food. However, the food was fantastic - an Italian bean stew full of flavour and a cheese and onion quiche that was very deep with a strong,... More

No warm welcome from staff , on a quiet lunchtime. 3 staff , not 1 of them could raise a smile or a hello ! Food was good , coffee poor , no loo roll, no lock on toilet door . Come on , super spot , make an effort

This is a real gem! We had Sunday lunch here today, wonderful roast pork and all the trimmings for under a tenner and with the addition of warm chocolate fruitcake and cream as pudding, soft drinks and coffees afterwards, the whole Sunday lunch was still only £15 a head. The standard of the food was very high, the Castle Cafe... More

hCame here about a week ago on the off-chance as we drove through Nunney. I am so glad we stopped! The food was delicious and I think we could have easily eaten everything on the menu.Highly recommended.

Last week I had lunch at The Castle Kitchen which is under new ownership. I enjoyed a homemade pasty with a delicious red cabbage coleslaw and pickle followed by a homemade lemon cheesecake that was to die for. My friend also had the pasty but she opted for the Etonian Mess cake which came with cream. The welcome we received... More

This is a great little friendly coffee in a historic village. Its had a few negative reviews but has recently been taken over in the month and so far so good.

Visiting Nunney for the first time yesterday, my wife and I went into the cafe with little to no expectations and were very surprised to find a small, well ordered cafe. What was also pretty good is that some of the seating are old church pews, it gave the cafe a small, warm and evocative feel. The couple who run... More
