Was looking for healthy food and not pricey. We had the "cocotte" special (fish and risotto + a salad) for 15 euros. If you're really hungry and in a hurry it may not be convenient as the service is a bit slow and the portions are scanty... It was too salty but the taste was very good.

Every Easter as we head down to Provence and stay in a different town on the way, I try and reserve somewhere nice and I was not disappointed with the La Maniguette. I had a gorgeous snail and duck pithiviers (pastry crust) to start and a fine beef kebab to follow all washed down with a fine Gamay. Excellent quality... More

I was in Chambury for one night and my hotel recommended this restaurant. As a solo diner, it was a wonderful experience. The waiter was attentive and helpful and made great recommendations! I loved the atmosphere, service, food and wine. Would love to go back. Perfect evening!

We happened upon this restaurant late one night on a trip back to the u.k. Set in a cosy rustic building (spoiled a little i have to say by the garrish artwork on the walls!) we had an excellent meal here, it is clear their is someone in the kitchen who really understands food. The scallops with risotto that i... More

First - you must have a reservation, and best to get it the day before. This is a popular restaurant, and for good reason. The food is very very good, the price fair, the service pleasant, and the atmosphere is intimate but not not fussy. It was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. It's even a bit... To start, the personnel who answered the phone to place the reservation was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and informative. Even as we struggled to find parking in Chambéry with a vehicle too large to clear the underground parking lot, we were able to phone the restaurant about our delay and were reassured that it wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived,... More

We ate here for one night during our stay in Chambery. We got a very nice and quiet table for two. The waiter spoke good english, and translated the menu for us. They had a set menu for 34 euros (entree, main course and dessert) which was good value. We were also recommended a good vine that suited the food... More

Our hostess, Fanny, started a perfect evening by offering us the best table in the house - in the open window, looking out at the cobbled streets and charming Architecture of old Chambery. What followed was a wonderful journey through exciting food combinations (the degustation menu) paired with perfectly matched and delicious wine at her recommendations. The perfectly cooked trout... From the moment I called for a reservation, I noticed the staff was very friendly. The price was very reasonable for this business dinner. On the menu: gazpacho combined with local products (cheese and crozets), a light fish dish with asparagus (vegetable of the season) and a hot chocolate cake. Even though the restaurant was full, the service was very... More
