Champagne brunch - Simply our favourite way to start the day. With our sandwich menu available all day and our wonderful restaurant menu available 12pm – 3pm for lunch and 6pm – 9pm Monday to Saturday it’s no wonder we are well-known locally as the place to go for great food and a comprehensive selection of wines and beers. The mood changes on Sunday when it becomes obvious that Mortons has quite a following as a neighbourhood sanctuary. Read the papers and re-charge the batteries over a late breakfast or cappuccino and then indulge in a spectacular roast lunch. Mortons excels at slow cooked and spit-roasted meat with all the traditional accompaniments. What could be better? Its not just the food which is impressive, with its chunky cowhide sofas, imposing drift wood art and quirky modern style it’s easy to see why Mortons is everyone’s favourite. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where genuinely wonderful food is available seven days a week at affordable prices. Our extensive and imaginative menu is freshly prepared on site in the open kitchen and served to you by our friendly and efficient staff. Why aren’t you there yet!?

My partner and I are regular visitors to Mortons and it is normally a lovely experience. This evening unfortunately was not. I arrived with my sister and nieces to enjoy an early dinner. We went in and saw that the restaurant was laid out for a private function. We therefore sat in the other area and went to the bar... More

I visited Mortons last week with my family (party of two adults and four children under 11), and it was lovely. The place had a really buzzy atmosphere and the food was excellent. We had the half roast chicken (delicious) and the burger with cheese and bacon, and the children all had pizza. All piping hot.The waitress even kindly offered... More

It's always busy In here, and the menu offers fine dining and some tasty food. However it is very pricey for a local, and can be hit and miss for the price, with slow service.

Visited Mortons this evening for beer and food, arriving at 9pm slightly worried that food may not still be served. Fortunately the kitchen was still serving and we were offered a table. Menu was a little uninspiring, with a limited choice of old favorites, which is no bad thing I guess. I decided on Burger with pulled beef, cheese and... More

Big praise for Morton's. Since it opened its doors years ago as a trendy contemporary restaurant, they have maintained great levels of service and food quality. Many go off the boil in that time, I don't think Morton's has at all. Pizza's always good, as are the amazing salads. Great menu with some unusual tasty options. Lunch or dinner you... More

Visited with friends one Saturday early evening. It's happy hour until 7 so we got prosecco for £9.99 and ate too. It's part of the lovely pubs chain, so similar menus to the farm in Shirley and the orange tree too. Lovely menu, fairly pricey but delicious and great surroundings. Fairly lively even in early evening. Could do with a... More

Have eaten here since it opened, and goodness knows why I've never sung it's praises on here before . Good to eat, for any meal. Good for a drink. Always a great welcome. Never had a meal other than excellent. Always a great buzz

Visited Sunday for brunch. The young man behind the bar (sorry didn't get his name),was very polite, efficient and professional. He remembered my order from previous visits, and remembered I requested my food order be delayed for a few minutes ,to allow for the arrival of my partner ! Excellent touch. Good service from all the staff, with a smile... More

Lovely welcoming restaurant that is also dog friendly. We had starters of lamb koftas, crispy squid and sweet chilli crispy duck salad, all of which were very tasty. The mains were baked cod and chorizo with new potatoes and vegetables, and two pizzas of Italian ham, mushrooms and mozzarella and also chicken and peppers with mozzarella. There are cask ales good... More
