Fabulous little place. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I was surprised at how authentic it feels. I came across this place on a work trip and I left amazed at how the server tried to make my lunch experience as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

We were on our way to Caravan Theater [which was great fun and well done] and got take out . It was so tasty . What a nice surprise in a little town. Had a picnic at the farm before the theater. Not very far away so all the food was still really good.

This quality sushi in Armstrong? I was surprised! I'm a sushiholic from the lower mainland (2-3x/week) and was shocked at how good this sushi is. Their seaweed salad might be the best in BC. It's hand made, not the pre-made additive Costco stuff. Excellent sunomono too! The fish is fresh and rolls are delicious. I'm hardcore, so I had the... More

Gave Tanuki Sushi House a try for lunch on saturday and we were way beyond pleasantly surprised! We've never thought of exploring Armstrong restaurants before but stumbled across this little gem by accident and after checking out the reviews we made a point of going. Everything from the service, to the presentation, to the flavours was top-notch. The raw oysters... More

No, not the waiter- the food!!!! Small intimate space. Fresh made as you go. Don't come in a big group with out a reservation. The food really is pretty and delicious. Good value for the dollar too.

I hadn't been to Tanuki Sushi House for a while and had an opportunity to visit twice this week. On my first visit this week, I enjoyed the Yakibuta Ramen. The pork was so tender and tasty supported by the flavourful broth, tender-crisp vegetables and the noodles. It was perfect for a cool, damp evening. Tonight I had plans on... More

To be honest I was amazed. I am a big fan of Sushi and this was a great overall experience. Each dish was fantastic and beautifully presented. Decor was great and everything was very clean. A perfect example of a small mom and pop operation that is run with the owners passion to be the best Sushi House in the... More

We were driving down the 97a to Kelowna and had heard there was a Japanese restaurant in Armstrong. Am I ever glad we stopped. It is easy to find just off the highway on Armstrong's old fashioned mainstreet. The tekkadon is a good price and the tuna was fresh. The seaweed salad and vegetable ramen are also to be recommended.... More

I recently visited again having heard that they were offering some fresh local spring produce with a Japanese flavour. Wow! Have had the Spinach Gomae before - but they offered a local twist on this favourite - Asparagus Gomae. Great flavour - and with the Vegetable Ramen with fresh spring vegetables - the meal was delicious and filling. Service was... More
