A little disappointing

We went here with friends on a Sunday evening. On arriving we thought how nice it looked and wasn't disappointed when we went inside. It's lovely both inside and out. It was fairly quiet...well until a family with a baby came in to eat and the baby did nothing but cry which spoilt our evening as we... read more

Im a regular to the parson and recently not been happy with the food menu, I liked the old menu with the traditional sausage and mash and good pub food not what is on now. It's hard to pick something that is actually appealing to me. The old menu was better please bring it back!!!

I organised a group cycling trip from Stowmarket to Sheringham stopping overnight and cycled back the next day. We stopped on route for coffee and cake plus a few soups and other snacks. We received a wonderful welcome on both days and whole heartily recommend a visit.

Friendly without being over intrusive, excellent fod, excellent value, cosy atmosphere. Interesting use of locally sourced produce on the menu.

We went for our wedding anniversary meal on Friday night, ordered drinks and then went to our table. We both had a starter which was very good, followed by main course, desert and a desert wine. We both ate everything on our plates and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

The new owners according to local rumour have spent a substantial amount of money on refurbishing this establishment and it looks good but one shouldn't be fooled by looks. The ambience is OK but the menu is limited and somewhat disappointing. There were some rather strange dishes on offer and none what one would call traditional pub food. One very... More

Called in here for a quick lunch time snack on a Friday. Our last visit was a few years ago but since then has been refurbished and upgraded. Greeted as soon as we entered the front door and asked if we would like lunch, were then shown to a table. Drinks and menus were brought to the table. A good... More

Just returned from Sunday roast at the Parson and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement!! Cold food bad service and a bill that was certainly over the top!! Better pubs else where in the vicinity cannot say how bad it was. It was bad 3 years ago and we decided to give it another go but was... More

i read some of the less than positive reviews on trip advisor and I was a little nervous of the lunch party I had been invited to. However I shouldn't have worried as the meal was wonderful and all six of us were enthusiastic about our choices. The service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. I... More
