Superb Lunch

Our children took my wife and I out for Mother's Day Lunch and it was a most enjoyable experience. Good food, (tender Lamb) and a gorgeous Banofee Pie to finish off. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Well Done Julie and Co !!!

We stayed here one night, the room was comfortable and well equipped. Mark is an excellent landlord and Liz supported him well. The meal was good but the sticky toffee pudding was superb. There is a small wine list but the wine we chose was as good as any I have had in a 5 star hotel. I would highly... More

We had a very warm welcome to this homely, family run pub. Lovely clean and refurbished room for our overnight stay, followed by a generous breakfast in the morning. Very reasonable rates for a very good standard of b and b. We also stayed for Sunday lunch and were joined by other family members. Lovely Lunch and nice touch with... More

We popped in for Sunday lunch. Served quickly at the bar but was disappointed that only one ale was on as Brains brewery had let them down with an order, soon got over that & enjoyed our pint. Ordered and pleasingly our food was served without a long wait by excellent staff who were v attentive. Quality of the roast... More

We recently booked a table for Father's Day as we knew there was a special menu designed for the day. The food didn't disappoint. The Father's Day Dinner (Dads Only!) was amazing, and the regular Sunday Dinner I had was great. Perfectly cooked vegetables which were beautifully presented. The children's half size portions were plentiful and the kids cleared their... More

We took our son and Grandparents for an early evening meal for his birthday. Nothing was too much trouble and they didn't even mind when our birthday cake candles set the fire alarm off!! The food was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. It has recently be taken over by new managers who have redecorated the pub beautifully providing... More

I booked a table at this pub 2 months prior, on account of the feedback they had gotten on here, for my boyfriend's birthday. Unfortunately the meal was so disappointing i felt extremely let down and angry. Not only was the actual menu completely different on the website, but the food and service was probably the worst i have come... More

Had an excellent light lunch, well presented, served by pleasant staff. Loads of car parking out the back, with a great beer garden. Mark, the new landlord, comes from a well respected local family of restaurateurs, and is a great asset to the local community. Well worth a visit, be it for just a quick pint, or a meal. Also...
