We were greeted with a very warm welcome. Once shown to our room which was spacious tastefully furnished with lovely soft towels in the en suite we headed down to the bar before having dinner. As locals popped in for a drink the friendly atmosphere and excellent service made us feel very relaxed just what we had wanted from this... More

The food was simple, good quality and good value and the service was very welcoming - we went into the public bar rather than the restaurant but in neither bar was the fire lit. So it was all a bit desultory - there was a table in front of the dart board so couldn't even play darts and the TV... More

I hate writing poor reviews but if I don't then I'm not really doing anyone justice. We have visited the Bell many times in recent years and have always been impressed with the friendly atmosphere, choice of beer, quality of food and good service. What a surprise to find the change of owner/ tenant has affected everything that made this... More

These people have invested in their pub and should be congratulated. We came to the The Bell Inn Glangrwyney all the way from London ... Great food and even better service at the end of a days walking in beautiful countryside myst improves the overall experience. Many walkers rate the walking and scenery but never the service...'just give me a meal... We went to Sunday lunch and the atmosphere was very warm, the sunday roast was gorgeous with a choice of meats and lots of veg, the locals were very friendly and value was great, the two guys working the restaurant were good and nothing was too much trouble, worth a repeat visit anytime, good job !

Decided to try The Bell Inn for a joint birthday meal, was pleasantly surprised as although it was not busy there was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. Service was great with friendly staff. Will go there again.

The Bell, Glangrwyney, have not been there for many, many years until today. It is a lovely,Olde Worldy Inn on main road between Abergavenny and Crickhowell and is well worth a visit. Julie and Bernie, soon to be the new tenants, gave us such a warm welcome and could not have been more helpful. The food was just lovely, generous... More

Stopped here for lunch travelling back from a delightful few days in north Wales. Lovely atmosphere and very pleasant young lady at the bar. We ordered food and after nearly an hour it arrived. Unfortunately! The wholemeal roles were stale and although the steak filling was ok the accompanying onions were conspicuous by their absence. My lasagne looked a bit... More

It used to be fantastic, welcoming, personal and friendly. We went recently for dinner and the new waitress did not have a clue about anything. The chefs could be heard larking about in the kitchen but when I wanted to speak to them about my meal we heard them tell the waitress to tell us they were too busy. The... More
