We had dinner there recently and the fried shrimp and clams were awful. The shrimp were all batter and hardly visible shrimp. The shrimp were so tiny, there was not even the flavor of shrimp! There were maybe two good big clams in the whole batch of fried stuff--which cost almost $20.. The portions were smaller than they used to... More

These are the best fried clams you will find in New England, and I have had them in RI, Mass, and around Maine, my home state. A small side order will serve two normal appetites. Onion rings are excellent. This is where Mainers go. I love the fact they give you your own bottle of tartar sauce with your pickup... More

We travel here from NY just for The Seafood Centers lobster stew! YUMMY! The fried clams are huge and sweep, the lobster roll is packed with lobster. I can't say enough about this place except I wish they would open up closer to me. I order enough to take some home and freeze for another day!

Seafood Center is a real Maine experience. Most of the customers are locals who frequent the establishment. The menu offers a variety of fried local catch and a few other things for the non-seafood eaters in your party. My favorite are handmade clam cakes and are the best I've ever had! Their clam chowder is thick and creamy and full... More

This small restaurant has terrific seafood. Order food at counter and take it to your seat. Very casual eating. Had a lobster roll filled with lots of lobster, and not overdone with mayo. Service was fast on the day we went.

Although we've lived in the area for over 20 years, somehow we missed going to the Seafood Center. On a whim, we thought we'd try it as we had been meaning to for awhile. We were pleasantly surprised. This place on Route 1 offers reasonably priced seafood and is popular with local people. Upon entering, the owners has a local... More

Stumbled upon this and sooo glad we did! The kitchen is manned (no women that night) by the pleasantest of young men. It's an indoor clam bar that would be more in place at the beach but instead it's conveniently on Route 1. Great seafood, Yummy fried clams and filets. Varied menu. Wish I was there now!

We have eaten at this delicious, family owned seafood restaurant for the past four or five years, and the food has always been very fresh, the homemade ice cream is to die for! So many choices, too . This past week was no exception....exactly what we've come to expect from this wonderful restaurant run by the same owners for the... More
