good chow!

This was the first place we ate at when we got to our campground. It's nothing fancy, just good down home cooking. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was good to very good. Look for the specials!!

We've come here for a few years. Until today we thought the food was fairly descent. The chowder used to be creamy. It seemed to be made with milk now. The lobster roll was inexpensive and fresh but kind of skimpy. The roll was way too buttery. Cole slaw was good. The tap water had a funny taste but that... More

We used to go to the Seafood Center at least once a week for many years until it was sold a few years ago. Then when we visited a few times we were disappointed. The portions were smaller, the prices were higher, and the food was inconsistent. But we decided to try the Seafood Center this season one more time.... More

Fried clams in crumbs were excellent. We ordered a large onion ring but when served, was on the clam dinner with no French fries. A bit disappointing for that. My lobster roll was stuffed, but some of the lobster very wet, which turned the roll soggy in places.

Excellent clam strip platter, plentiful serving. Simple, traditional, casual setting, excellent traditional seafood. Weekday lunch visit, not crowded. Steady pick up service. Great quality and serving size.

We've lived in Maine long enough now to remember when hitting the Seafood Center was a great, quick meal out. The portions and the quality were excellent. Since the new owners have taken over, we no longer partake. Smaller portions, lower quality, shorter hours, and not open all winter. The owners need to take stock and reinvent themselves if even... We decided to give it another try as we really liked it before So we took our family there and was even more disappointed. The kids hotdog plate was so bad that my granddaughter only took one bite, an it was suppose to come with applesauce but never did and the fries were awful. We also had a couple of... More

We had dinner there recently and the fried shrimp and clams were awful. The shrimp were all batter and hardly visible shrimp. The shrimp were so tiny, there was not even the flavor of shrimp! There were maybe two good big clams in the whole batch of fried stuff--which cost almost $20.. The portions were smaller than they used to... More

These are the best fried clams you will find in New England, and I have had them in RI, Mass, and around Maine, my home state. A small side order will serve two normal appetites. Onion rings are excellent. This is where Mainers go. I love the fact they give you your own bottle of tartar sauce with your pickup... More

We travel here from NY just for The Seafood Centers lobster stew! YUMMY! The fried clams are huge and sweep, the lobster roll is packed with lobster. I can't say enough about this place except I wish they would open up closer to me. I order enough to take some home and freeze for another day!
