Outstanding customer service, amazing food & the puddings are to die for! I visited with 5 others on Sunday night & the atmosphere was perfect. We had such a good night and we will be visiting again very soon! It's nice to finally see a pub that has got the ratio of good pub grub and fantastic service!

Visited for lunch. My fife and I had steak pie and crab salad. The steak pie was delicious and large enough for two people, a real Yorkshire sized meal. The crab salad was large and good too. Meal accompanied with large portions of chips peas and carrots. There wa sfar more than we could eat. Total price was £23 including... More

Busy and popular pub as we booked the last table an hour before arriving, luckily we did as the place was mobbed! Menu has traditional favourites, nothing too fancy and all the food was delicious and well priced. Service was good and food has to be ordered at the bar. If we were more local this would be a favourite... More

Booked a late Fathers day meal for 3 dads - we sat in the conservatory looking out onto the lovely garden. Food was really nice as ever and the staff are all friendly and helpful

I write for the magazine custard fanciers monthly, the custard was of an excellent consistency not the Warter down muck.

Three of us visited for lunch all having a different choice. All of them were generous potions, well cooked, well presented, pleasant staff. A most enjoyable experience. Lots of interesting choice on the menu definitely NOT a boring pub chain.
