Lunch at the windmill

An enoyable lunch in very pleasant setting with friendly staff. Very nicely presented, we are visiting the area again in soon and will be calling in again

The place was quite busy but I would think that would be for the same reason as we went there - it is the only... More

Visited on Tuesday 31st March following recommendations from family who had dined here previously. No great welcome from staff despite the restaurant being at sparely occupied. A step back in time - faux leather bound menus and table mats greeted us at the table. Ordering at the bar followed by nearly a 30 minute wait for our main course. Food... More

Whilst visting my son for the weekend, he booked a table here for Sunday Lunch (he's been here before and due to it's popularity he was advised to book in advance). I must say that we weren't disappointed at all. The place was packed out so we were glad we booked. Our table was booked for 3.00pm and we ordered... More

I had a Burger when we visited the other week and it wasn't very nice I'm sorry to say. Coupled with nearly £4 for a pint of Theakstons I felt decidedly unimpressed. The diners seemed to be seated together so there was no feeling of having some space to ourselves. Would have preferred to have had a positive experience as... More

Great food and service at a good price. The service was friendly and the steak pie was especially good.
