An organised establishment!

Have visited Foxton Locks Inn a few times but not for a few months. I've always been put off by how busy it is and deduced that food and service had been compromised by that. This was a different story though. We went for a family Sunday lunch and booked in advance. We were fortunate to get a table... read more

Fantastic location. Tasty food with great varied menu. Dogs welcome in parts of bar. All tastes catered for. Friendly caring staff who actually listen to what you want! Staff all have good local knowledge and are happy to advise you where to visit. Does get very busy in summer but this just adds to the lovely ambience. Would definitely recommend... More

Relaxing, enjoyable and not too strenuous for walking this is an attraction that can be reached from Market Harborough. Food is available and reasonable charges apply. There are numerous walks in the area and one would need at least two hours to enjoy all that is offered. This is a delightful visit and one which can be visited over and... More

Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime. Pub was busy but not full. Disappointed to have to wait 35 minutes for order to be taken. People who arrived after us were served before us. When the food was served we were not offered any condiments or dressings.

Young inexperienced staff to start with, young lady on welcome stand had a face like thunder and unwelcoming, they half filled the already very small tea pots with water, a customers dog (not a guide dog) was roaming around the bar off the lead near to where my son was eating, none of the staff were bothered about it (not... A party of six of us met for meal here on Saturday 31st January the service was prompt yet un obtrusive . The food was hot and excellent quality and good value for money .The total bill for the whole party was £150.00 with everyone enjoying a three course meal this also included drinks and coffees ect .

- Service was slow - We were forgotten about (waited over 15 minutes for sauces) - Food was warm not hot - The fish was full of bones - The floor was covered in food from previous customers. - Staff were inexperienced and uninterested. Overall severely disappointed and definitely will not be visiting here again.

Visited here at night so I didn't really see the wonderful views and locks. What I can report is that it is bright spacious and a very nice place to eat. The fish pie was packed with fish and very tasty indeed. The service was excellent and they serve good ales too. I would certainly return again. Best of all... More

We go here about once a year after visiting the locks and its normally pretty good, however something has gone majorly wrong with the place recently. The service on our visit for a saturday lunch was utterly appalling. We waited nearly an hour for our main course, and this was despite complaining after about 40 minutes about the time taken....
