Historic spot, good food!

The staff here was friendly and the cod and Chips excellent! This is a very down to earth stop, clean, well-lit, classy even... but not pretentious.

We went here on the night we arrived in Doolin on the basis that it was convenient and there was some good musicians playing in the pub and I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The crab claws, muscles and the monk fish were really terrific and the service was good. A bit pricier than you... More

Had the seafood platter. Not everything on it was perfect but the selection was wonderful and definitely hit the spot with a couple of pints of Blonde Smithwicks. Waiting staff were friendly. Live music was pleasant, if I didn't have the kiddo I would have stayed later into the night.

We had drinks here while listening to Irish music. It was a nice place and the music was wonderful. Highly recommend if you are staying in Doolin.

Came across Fitzpatrick's bar as I drove along the Atlantic Way. The food was excellent . I ordered the crab claw starter and it was a very generous portion and very tasty. My main course was the classic fish & chips with tartar sauce and mushy peas ( I opted for the sole) There was a varied menu and it... More

The greeter / waiter answered several questions about gluten issues before sitting us down. Adding G or C to menu would help. Good choices including one of best chowders I've ever had. Rose had hake, potato and then a big bowl of nicely-cooked veggies. I had the beer battered cod which, like all such dinners is more batter than cod.... More

This is the place. The other place is not. Excellent menu, entree to meal to dessert. Dooliner beer is a must-drink red beer. Best choices of whiskey, best Irish coffee. We spent a great Sunday evening here.

The last time we were here (April 2014) the crab claws were so scrumptious we actually delayed our trip out of Doolin so we could wait for the dinner menu and have more of them the following day. So it was with much anticipation that we came to Fitzpatrick's this year. We just couldn't wait for those crab claws. We... More

We waited quite a long time and think they may have forgotten our order but when we asked it was hurried along and served. Food when it arrived was delicious and well presented. Had to wait a while but worth it in the end.
