Spring day out at the coast!

We have been travelling to Doolin for years but never stopped in at Stonecutters Kitchen. We now realise what we've been missing. The food took some time to arrive however this is simply because it was so fresh and cooked from scratch. As I have said in previous reviews, C is vegetarian so it's... read more

Not too far from the Cliffs of Moher, travelling north, is a quaint little restaurant that had some of the best food we tried in Ireland. Fast service, delicious dishes, perfect luncheon. Quite charming (and its obviously had awards in the past). Staff very friendly (in that unique country Irish way). If we had of been staying nearby we would... More

So, here we were, famished from driving around all day and it is 9 o'clock at night. Between the time change and it staying light out so late, we kind of got off track. We stopped at the Stonecutters Kitchen, and even though they were closed, the lovely girl at the door wished us into a side room and said... More

You might be tempted to pass this little place by. Don't! Charming, friendly, and great food. Also, very accommodating to those seeking a gluten free meal. Oh, I miss Ireland...!

Happened to pass this on our travels and decided to stop for a snack at lunchtime. The food was delicious but for a snack, was maybe too much. It does not deter from the friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and lovely setting however and we would definitely visit again if we are nearby again.

Charming, traditional, small Irish cottage over 100 years old left intact now housing a little, cosy gem of a restaurant. Sitting right on the wild Atlantic just out from Doolin Village. Serving hearty, healthy, delicious dishes with nice variety and suitably portioned. Homemade desserts ;) coffee, tea, herbal tea, soya milk, or wine for those not feeling very hungry. Free... More

The Stonecutters catered for a function in Ballyvara house Doolin. lovely staff, and friendly, Karen looked after the guests so well, Breakfast, buffets, wine and beers. nothing was too much for then to do for guests. next time in Doolin, we will sample their cuisine in the Stonecutters. no easy task looking after 50/60 people fr three days.

This little gem we just happened to drive by and it caught our attention. We had the chowder, soups and mains as well as trying some of the home made ice creams. Everything was delicious and the service was great. So glad we stopped!

we walked WAY too far from our cottage and arrived a little late (we didn't know the kitchen closed so early) and they opened up the kitchen and let us order off the specials menu! SO nice of them. it was worth the long walk...we ended up going back 2 times. everything we tried was just so delicious...nothing was mediocre.... More
