Very enjoyable

Father's Day treat and very enjoyable. We had the 3 course set menu and although the choice was limited the food was very good. The service this time was on the slow side but put this down to the restaurant being full and it being Father's Day. The Yorkshire pudding was one of the best yet. The... read more

I visited on Saturday with some friends. I'd heard it was fantastic. It was OK but definitely not fantastic. I had a poorly prepared version of a Greek spinach pie - a little too well done - which came with something resembling and tasting like tomato ketchup. My husband had pulled pork (small portion) on very loose mash and sitting... More

Not a bad Sunday lunch but there was quite a difference between our plates of roast beef. Mine was full of gristle and my wife's had hardly any gravy. Vegetables were undercooked and a bit cold. Despite these negative elements I would still give it another go as its a nice place with good service.

Visited on my birthday The food and service was amazing. Small choice on the menu but the quality of the food made up for this. Good portion sizes. Excellent service with friendly staff who regularly ensured we were happy with our meal and ensured or glasses were filled. I have recommended this restaurant to friends already.

Been here a few times now and thoroughly enjoyed every visit. Staff are really friendly, attentive without being over bearing. The food is always delicious, great quality and for a good price. The atmosphere is relaxed too. One of the best places to eat in Hale.

We have eaten here a few times recently and realised that I had not left a review. Probably the best location / views / tables in Hale. Midweek they have a special menu 2 courses £15 which is fantastic value. Food quality outstanding and staff are lovely, especially Michelle. Great wine selections too at very good prices.

We actually stumbled upon Earl and I'm so pleased we did! The welcome was friendly and the staff attentive. I decided on two starters, the chicken satay and the halloumi both were delicious, my partner chose the club sandwich equally as delicious (I didn't need to ask as his totally empty plate said it all!!) and all portions were sizable,... This is one of Simon Rimmer's Restaurants. I'd just picked up my friend from the airport and we thought we'd grab a light lunch. It wasn't massively busy, but it was just Friday lunch. We both had the soup and a sandwich lunch deal for £8.50 and grabbed a beer. The Staff were friendly and the man himself was on... More

We had lunch here on the way home from an overnight stay in Manchester. The area is lovely and the restaurant in a perfect location to people watch. Staff were really attentive and knowledgeable, service was perfect and food was a high standard. Reasonably priced for lunch menu.
