We went here with freinds for a catch up. The food was lovely and so was the atmosphere. I would recommend anyone going to Cheshire or Liverpool to go to Raby and have a drink and a meal here. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The area is so beautiful well worth a drive after or befor going to this... More

If you ask did you enjoy the meal and someone responds it was average don't be surprised. Not all the meals that you churn out are value for money. Pan fried duck should be that not boiled and served with no colour.

I hate to be negative so let's start with some positives. The Wheatsheaf has to be one of the nicest pubs on The Wirral - bucolic setting, old world charm without being chintzy, good range of beers and a massive car park which makes travelling there nice and easy. The Cowsheds restaurant is bright, roomy , well appointed and blessed... More

What a gem! I have been looking for a good quality Sunday Lunch on the Wirral, well I need not look anymore! This place hits the spot for me, great food (I had the pork), good portion size, good atmosphere, nice setting (the cowshed is rustically on point!) and really friendly staff!

10 of us are here as a sort of celebration as a relative had come over from New Zealand. When I phoned to book we wanted a table for 7:30, as was told they only had 8:00. When I said that was a little late they immediately managed to fit us in. On arrival our table was ready at the... More

We were looking for somewhere for lunch whist visiting the Wirral, and found this pub/restaurant on the Internet. It was a little difficult to find due to roadworks and diversions in place, but so glad we perservered. It's set in a lovely old building, with very welcoming and helpful staff. There are lots of areas to eat both inside and... More

If you are in the area and don't visit you are sorely missing out. The food is superb and the service is excellent. The signature steak dishes are absolutely first class. I wished we lived closer as this would become a regular haunt. Looking forward to a future visit.

The service was pleasant & efficient the menu quite extensive. My friend & I chose from the set menu with a good range ,a tad under £16 for 2 courses. I had pork & apple in a puff pastry roll...
