We both had the lamb as a main and it was really tender and succulent. We weren't planning on having a dessert but decided to go... More

Raby isn't exactly brimming with eateries but my friend had eaten here before and been pleased with the offerings, So in we went, nearly hitting our heads on the low ceilings (we're not awfully tall people, but people in the 17th Century were considerably shorter... Oh dear ! Called into the Wheatsheaf Inn recently after a long absence due to several meal mix ups in the past and I'm sorry to say that things have NOT improved. How can you get something as simple as a toasted sandwich wrong ? Ordered a Corned Beef and onion toastie but got a Corned Beef and CHEESE one... More

We've been here many times for drinks and the food has always looked lovely so we decided to visit for lunch and weren't disappointed. We ordered prawn & shrimp cocktail and crispy squid salad for starters. I was surprised at how large the starters were, but they were very tasty and we finished them all! We both ordered Plaice Goujons... More
