Celebrating my sons 15th birthday, we had starters of dips, hallumi and whitebait, followed by various main courses like; kleftiko, swordfish steak, lamb cutlets and more. All the food was served hot and efficiently, without waiting too long between courses. You certainly won't leave the restaurant feeling hungry as the portions are very generous, and the food itself was delicious.... More

I've been to this restaurant a few times now and I'm pleased to say, despite a shaky start, the food has improved no end. Service has always been good but at the end of the day it needs to be backed up with tasty dishes and this restaurant rivals any other Greek taverna I've been to including north London which... More

We visited the now named George's last night for a meal and was surprised at how nice it all was. Having read the reviews from previous customers I was a little worried but a big thumbs up. We ordered the Spanakopita (feta filled filo pies) and the cheese Saganaki (fried cheese) for starters. Both were nice size portions and reasonably... More

It would be complete arrogance to the Greek cuisine if somebody said the taste of the food here is less than heavenly, with attractive presentation. This restaurant exemplifies Greek food in general to be one of the most flavorsome cuisines, if not the - IN THE WORLD! From carefully cooked Tiropitakias (Cheese pies) to perfected Souvlaki! George and his team... More

Nice looking menu but very bland food. Cheap ingredients and plate full of cheap rice and salad. Come for dinner so don't want lettuce on plate... Overlooked meat. Good service but food not as good as fish and chips in my local pub. Not worthy of saying good pub grub. Won't be back

My friend and I went at a Sunday lunch time. We were a bit concerned when we arrived as we were the only customers but decided to give it a go anyway. I'm glad we did. The service was friendly and i enjoyed the food. It was nice to have some vegetarian options different to the normal Mossaka! There were... More

I've been following George, the new owner, since he took over the Old Bexley Greek Taverna years ago and had never had better Greek food or 'kefi', the Greek word for conviviality, anywhere else in London. My view so far is that he is the best host and his stuff are trying really hard to please, never mind the discounts... More
