We were shoved into the last free table and from there on it only went downhill: * the (first) waitress... More

Sean and Mary Hamilton have been the owner/chef of this restaurant for 20+ years. We stumbled in here by accident after being a Kilary Sheep Farm and Kylemore Abbey. We found the welcome warm, the conversation enlightening and the food delicious! It was a true joy!

We have stopped in Leenane several times whilst driving through Connemara but this is our first time to visit Blackberry restaurant-we will be back! This small village was well in need of a modern establishment serving delicious food and Blackberry certainly delivers! We were fortunate to visit on a gorgeous summer's day so decided to eat outside-only downside is that... More

I Brought my family to the Blackberry Restaurant last weekend as I had previously dined there before. We were given a table at the front over looking the beautiful Killary harbour. We all had a mix of dishes, from scallops, duck, chicken & the hake & it was all beautiful. Also presented very well. My sister is a vegetarian & her was... More

Last week a group of us returned to the Blackberry Cafe and found the food and service every bit as good as on our first visit a year ago. Highlight was the calamari which was the best I have ever tasted (apparently local), an opinion shared by all who had them. The service was friendly and efficient. Never miss the... More

If you find yourself anywhere between Galway or Westport, be sure to stop at the Blackberry for lunch or dinner. We made several trips there and were rewarded with great food and friendly service. The calamari was a treat! The small restaurant is always full with returning customers because the food is fresh, well made, and consistent. From soup to... More

Small town friendly, big town finesse. We were very much impressed with our lunch at this cozy little restaurant in this tiny village. With a cluster of tour buses nested around some larger establishments, we were happy to duck into this warm and welcoming place. My wife had a calamari special, and I enjoyed an open faced sandwich, half smoked... More

This is the third year we've eaten at this restaurant and it gets better every time. The food is really good, fresh and locally sourced, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
