Terrible.Dirty tables. Bad service. Terrible soup. Watered down Tomato soup. Won’t be back. Staff not busy but sitting about. Could have been cleaning tables etc.
Went yesterday for lunch. Got to our table and waited to be served. The table was cleared and we hoped the waitress would return to take our order and to no avail. I even spoke to the waitress at one stage to see about menus...and she told me we had to order off the board which I said was fine I’d take a picture of it and let the others at table see it so she could take our orders. Instead the waitress took orders from the other two tables which had came In after us. Kept thinking she’d return to take our order. By now the other two tables had now got their food and were enjoying lunch while we still hadn’t been served. At this stage we had enough! Wouldn’t recommend, don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such poor customer service.More
Stopped off with my partner at Starfish in Dunfanaghy on a week day afternoon in June. He ordered the sandwich special which he was very happy with, but the reason for my low rating is down to my "meal". I ordered the French Toast off...the menu, I can't remember how much it was exactly but around €7/8. What came out was one slice, cut in half, made with what looked like regular white sliced pan. I had asked for it with fruit and yogurt rather than bacon - I got about 2 spoons of yogurt and 5 berries. It was laughable it looked so pathetic on the plate, it looked like a toddlers portion. I am sorry I didn't address it at the time as of course me being me, I ate it & said nothing, mostly because the waitress there was very pleasant & friendly, and I think I was a bit stunned! It tasted fine, all 6 bites of it.More
Good COVID -19. EU passport check and good hygiene. Nice friendly girl that brought us coffee and cakes. Not many inside space, but friendly atmosphere
Absolutely horrified by my experience. Firstly we ordered takeaway and waited outside for 30 minutes even though it seemed we were the only people waiting for takeaway and the cafe was not full. I had ordered the chicken and bacon salad which the menu said...had feta cheese in it. I am pregnant and half way through eating the salad (the ingredients were all tossed together) realised to my horror that there was Brie in the salad (this was not pointed out to me that there was a substitution). I went back to the cafe to confirm that it definitely was Brie, the waitress said yes it was Brie. When I explained my situation and that I wanted to pass over that it was not ok to substitute a soft cheese like Brie without advising of this she went to speak to the chef. She came out and told me that the chef said that both feta cheese and Brie were not safe to eat and basically that I shouldn’t be eating the salad anyway!! (Feta cheese IS safe to eat.) Such a horrible thing to say to a pregnant woman as it is hard enough trying to negotiate menus without being accused of not eating the correct foods. I asked her if there was anything she could do as obviously I had had to bin the rest of my lunch - she said no sorry nothing else could be done. Absolutely appalling customer service & I now have to look forward to spending the rest of the day worrying about the Brie. Would not recommend. As an aside I also feel that a chef should be educated on what foods are safe to eat in pregnancy before accusing customers (I tried to post a link to the NHS website - foods to avoid in pregnancy but tripadvisor doesn’t allow links to be posted).More
I was in this cafe on Saturday, It was very busy at the time about 1.30pm. The food was lovely when we got got it. The only problem I saw here was there was only one waitress working, she was very pleasant and helpful but...rushed of her feet. The chief actually came out with a lot of the food. I know it is not a busy season in this town and mabey usually quiet but management should consider a extra person to cater for a busy lunch time. Well done to the chief and waitress for the lovely food and pleasant and helpful way in which you presented it.More
Fab food - very well priced and excellent customer service. Lovely wee coffee shop on Main Street with a great menu to suit all tastebuds. Would def recommend.
Had really tasty brunch as family of 5, kids loved the hot chocolate and pancakes, had 2 different types of breakfast which were really fresh and not greasy.
Lovely clean cafe serving delicious food. Wide ranging menu, really good coffee & lovely staff. We would definitely recommend having at least a coffee here!
Lovely little surprise , great options for kids .. got a lovely hot chicken sandwich ... very fresh.. place is very clean and lady was very friendly
Although we only had a cup of tea and a scone, people were having full meals, which looked superb. This place always seemed to be busy - always a good sign.
Lovely Sunday morning breakfast. Fab tray bakes & coffee. Great staff & kids very welcome. Will be back.
We visited here twice over blues festival weekend and had great breakfasts both days with pleasant and efficient service. Would have went back both days for coffee and some home baking as it looked delicious except that it sat uncovered on counter throughout the day...and where all customers passed payment over the food. Simple to remedy and a must have in any establishmentMore
Called in here for a bite to eat Father’s Day, nice place, bright and clean, food very nice if not a bit overpriced, no choice for kids, staff very nice,
