Every dish is scrumptious and the service is impeccable. Great views of Portnablagh from upstairs. The wine list is very good too.

Have gone to the Cove over many years and at all times of the year. My wife and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere of the upstairs lounge and the pleasantly busy but never obtrusive atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The staff - all of the staff- are invariably good-humoured, courteous, welcoming... More

This was my second visit in recent years to this lovely little restaurant and I'm delighted to say that everything both the food and the service was as good as it was the first time I was there. Staff are friendly and the food was delicious.

Had Easter Sunday dinner in there. Starter of chicken live pâté was nice. Steak was large and cooked just as I asked. Definitely recommend the restaurant. Good beer selections too including micro brews and premium beers.

Its a converted house that still looks like a converted house I think everything was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly the service good, although they had no draught lager on the night we were thee over the easter, but the place just lacked soul, and when one looked beyond the facade it all seemed so very ordinary. I... More

We were met by the waitress who made us very welcome, sat by stove fire and it was really cosy! Peter came over and introduced himself and reminded us if we needed anything at all to just ask. Food was lovely we had pate and seafood chowder for starters both were delicious. Mains we had pork belly, chicken supreme and... More

We booked in here last Thursday and what a place! We had a very friendly greeting by Peter who I think was the manager. He guided us upstairs to the bar. The views over Portnablagh were breathtaking! We relaxed with a drink and looked over the menu. I ordered the Scallops to start and the Beef Cheeks for my main.... More

We have eaten here many times. The food is amazing and the staff are great. Peter is a great host and siobhan is a fantastic cook. This is a hidden gem in Donegal. We have tried several restaurants in dunfanaghy but always return to the Cove. The prices are reasonable, the wine list is fantastic and the service is second... More

We (5 of us) returned to The Cove just after Christmas and had a great dinner. The menu is quite different to that available in the summer and had some great choices, pity that we couldn't have sampled them all. The bouillabaisse was particularly good as was the duck and sausage cassoulet. Remember to go easy on the starters as... More
