This was my first time in the Sika restaurant and really did not know what to expect apart that the price would be on the high side. Yes it was, but I have paid much more in some restaurants in Dublin City where the quality or ambience came nowhere near to this. You tend to forget that this restaurant is... More

Food was excellent and the waiters George and Ricardo should be commended for being able to handle so many people

Very helpful staff, steered us well. Room is good, spacious but still feels like it has some character. Wine waiter recommended a 2005 Chianti which was super. Mains were the (signature) Sika venison and the duck breast. We would recommend both, perhaps the venison edges it.

Took my wife and kids for dinner here last night as we were staying in the hotel. On previous trips we have stayed here and really enjoyed Gordon Ramsey's. It is now called the Sika after a locally bred dear. I think they are clearly seeking something, that is service. The hostess was great at seating us, providing coloring for... More

Dinner menu was rather limited. I ordered a filet mignon that was tasty, but not cooked to my liking, i.e. too rare. The food was generally very good with fancy presentation. Dinner service was very good and server appropriately attentive. Breakfast buffet had many options, but mostly pastries and cold food.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. We booked at the last minute & had to wait until 9.30pm but it was worth it. Excellent food & great service.

We were staying at Powerscourt and coming from a big city we didn't want to eat in any big restaurants. We were looking for an authentic and local experience. After a day of driving to Galway and back all town restaurants were closed. We had to eat at the hotel and we were hungry so we chose Sika. The vibe... More

This restaurant was great for dinner. Beautiful setting, great service and perfect ambiance. It was a good value for the 2 or 3 course dining options. Even though some menu options were not interesting to us the server did offer to check with the chef to see what could be adjusted to find a suitable option. From the kids dining... More
