I have traveled for business for the last 25 years and also vacations. The service and the food would rank up there as one of the best in all of that time. I had the Irish Steak and it was perfection and I am from Texas and a huge carnivore. The service was one of the best also and I... More

Can I start by saying the hotel, bedroom and all staff I met were wonderful. The setting is magnificent and we really enjoyed our stay. We went more for the setting/cycling and relaxation and less for the food on this occasion. However the dinner was disappointing. The starters were fine, nothing more. But my main course of pan fried cod... More

I dined at Sika with my husband tonight and the service was absolutely atrocious. We waited 20 minutes for our server to ask us if we wanted anything and then she wanted to take our food order and seemed annoyed that we wanted drinks too. We had to ask for bread after an hour. Our server never came back and... More

I was a guest (among a group of about 50 people) at a dinner in the Sika Restaurant which was a most enjoyable experience. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the terrace followed by dinner in the main dinning room both of which enjoy great views towards the Sugarloaf Mountain. The service was excellent (appropriate to a 5-Star establishment but not... More

If Gordon Ramsey set up the kitchen you know the food is great. I especially love the breakfast buffet with local produce and meats. Excellent staff where they remember your name.

Sika is the new name for the restaurant formerly known as Gordon Ramsey at the hotel formerly known as the Ritz Carlton now the Powerscourt Hotel. Built at the height of the Irish property boom, the hotel premises is very opulent and set is a stunning setting. The previous incarnation suffered from the weight of the Gordon Ramsey name and... Menu was nice, food well prepared. Service was off a bit, but a very large group was seated just after we sat down, so I think they were short staffed.

Restaurant is located directly in hotel. Tasteful meal, acceptable prices but service was little bit slow and it took over 3 hours to get all 3 course meal for dinner. I would just expect that this was just because of group dinner.

We are staying at the Powerscourt Hotel (very good property-separate review coming) but were very disappointed with the breakfast we had at this restaurant. Breakfast is setup as a buffet with options to order eggs prepared for you such as Eggs Benedict. First lets discuss the good, overall the food was good, the Eggs Benedict we ordered was great, Eggs... More

Although Gordon Ramsay was associated with the restaurant under its previous Ritz Carlton management, it is now known as Silk Restaurant and is the more formal dining room at the Powerscourt Hotel. We were staying at the hotel for the weekend as part of an extended family group to mark a significant birthday. Prior to dinner, we enjoyed a private... More
