Nice dining experience

Recently had a family lunch in Dromoland. Needless to say that the ambiance of one's surroundings there is excellent and the overall dining experience is enjoyable. Visited Dromoland Castle Country Club for lunch, and enjoyed a lovely meal, well prepared, served with warmth, in an outstanding setting. An old school, classic venue, but warm, friendly, not at all pretentious or stuffy. The meal, for me and colleagues, was very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Be sure to tour castle and grounds while there; and, well worth... More

Highly recommend, we had several delicious meals over a five night stay at Dromoland, the food excellent, the service wonderful, friendly, efficient, and the atmosphere great. Go, and stay, you'll love it. They say room 502 is haunted....

There is great scenery and it's lovely to go for a walk and the castle itself has beautiful decor in every room and staff are very friendly.

Food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful, and access was easy from the motorway. Imposing from the outside but comfortable on the inside- a lovely venue

Truly an experience to behold. I discussed this a little further at length in my post about the Dromoland Castle Hotel. The Chef is simply a master at his craft. I certainly hope that he remains on staff for the foreseeable future. Everything we enjoyed was exceptional and the service matched well. The morning buffet and hot breakfast will not... More

My friend and I visited Dromoland Castle yesterday to experience Afternoon Tea and on the whole it was most disappointing. Portion sizes were small and the variety was poor-strangely there was only one of each savoury which meant we had to cut them in half if we wanted to try all of them and too much raw onion!!-there was also... In our recent experience Afternoon Tea at Dromoland Castle was disappointing. We felt the portions were just a bit too small and some were quite bland. We also felt the variety wasn't great. The fruit cake served on the day we were there was hard. The scones, smoked salmon and savouries section was nice. On the whole our experience of... More
