Fantastic food and atmosphere at The Beach House

Even in the middle of winter, The Beach House provides a food experience of the highest quality. Steak, fish and desserts are all a treat - very recommended

We came here for New Year's Eve dinner and the food, atmosphere, service and location were just fantastic! The girls working there were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, we had the cod and it was one of the nicest pieces of fish we've ever had. Could not recommend it enough.

Dined here every time we came up this side of the country. We were made very welcome by the friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is always busy during the tourist season so would advise to pre book a table. The food is top class and cooked fresh, there is a lovely view of the Swilly from there. There is... Fine food with an idyllic view across Lough Swilly. Excellent and accommodating service. We shared a three-course Sunday menu meal: fresh liver pate to whet the appetite; a large chunk of salmon with pesto chickpeas (nice and tender); finished with an apricot tart and ice cream. We could have stared out our window seat all day. We took a dander... More

We celebrated a 50th birthday here for a group of ten and on arrival were greeted by friendly staff, the menu has a great selection of locally sourced ingredients and the owner Claire was more helpful and attentive throughout. All starters arrived quickly after our orders, the mains were delicious and with prior arrangement from Claire my wife's favourite type... More

We called in for lunch on a chance as we had heard good reports of the food here. Nice restaurant in a wonderful setting. Two very nice waitresses. However the a fish chowder was of a watery consistency with not a lot of flavour despite having nice fish in it. Our Coronation chicken sandwich was 5 pieces of cold, white,wet,... More

Turned up 4.40 when we're not opening till 5. Welcomed us in anyway. Sat by lovely windows overlooking sea - view to die for with sun streaming in. The girls had some lovely warm scones with jam and cream while I had a couple of pints of Guinness. Did not sample the food other than this but the menu looked... More

Called in one evening to have a drink and was met by a staff member who was very polite and helpful. Her colleague was equally courteous to myself and diners at the tables. The owner came and spoke to me and offered me details of times and menus for the next few days. The inside of the restaurant is amazing... More

Fantastic views. Staff fantastic. Spotless toilets. Food was nourishing. Family of 5 with a young child. We had a table booked for 5 o'clock so we availed of the early bird menu..the website advertised that mussels were on the menu, but when we asked we were told they were only available in the summertime. A bit of a disappointment. But... More
