Friendly local cafe with HUGE sambos

Definitely not cute or hipster but decent casual local cafe based in the bakery which serves next door SuperValu. So bread is super fresh. Slices are thick so sambos are big! I usually have the BLT which has good thick proper rashers (bacon) in it or simple scrambled eggs and thick slices of... read more

First & last time in Kenny's. Went in for a coffee & cake. Staff were cleaning the counter & display area, food was left "anywhere", staff use the same gloves to do everything. place is dirty, staff are sullen & food is awful. Service is worse.

Forgot to say, once you've completed your walk on the Blessington Greenway then you proceed to Kenny's Kitchen in Blessington to have breakfast - good, Irish home baking and cooking, pleasant staff and very, very satisfying!

I stopped by here on a freezing winter day. The place has a typical Wicklow vibe - it is a bit of a barn but the food more than makes up for this. The steak and kidney pie in particular, was a wonder. A huge slice, cut from a big round, proper pie, oozing with meat and accompanied by chips... More

When Kenny's Kitchen opened it was outstanding for all the craft breads on display. Now it has more and more turned into a cafe, which nobody looks after. When we were there, the tables were dirty and sticky. Food was all over the floor and staff ignored us. It seemed as if we had to beg to be looked after.

Great little cafe for breakfast. I'm a regular there and they do a fantastic full Irish with the proper "door step" size bread. Great selection of cakes and breads. Service is good and staff are fairly pleasant. Definitely would recommend it.

I wandered in here for breakfast and took a seat by the window. The menu was on the otherwise bare table and offered a full breakfast or a half breakfast along with some egg dishes and pastries. I decided on a full Irish and waited for service. After a few minutes and no service I looked for a sign that... More

We stopped in Blessington to find a post office and found Kenny's kitcheN when we parked. It was a good find as well. The staff were really nice and the service good. We only had an afternoon cake, but what lovely cakes! The portions for sandwiches and so on looked excellent value for money. We only wished we had not... More

I can't understand why anyone would criticise the thickness of the bread in the sandwiches here because the sign in the window loudly proclaims ' doorstep sandwiches'! And as you can ask for whatever fillings you like - and seemingly with no restriction - if you end up with a tasteless or bland sandwich it is your own fault. I... More
