Good food and excellent location

This was very convenient to have lunch here after a round of golf on the Old Course. They have an adequate selection of sandwiches which were tasty and the views are great overlooking the golf course and Atlantic Ocean. The price was fair also.

Wonderful view of the golf course. Food is standard pub grub fare: burgers, toasties, steaks and fish and chips. No vegetarian option apparent on menu. I had fish and chips which were ok. Fish lacked seasoning, batter was tired and the

Just home from a great day golfing on the Old Course, followed by an excellent meal in the clubhouse, which was a great finale to a fabulous day ,and to be recommended to anyone that is privileged enough to get there during the year

I came here last week with a friend for a lunch. Just what the doctor ordered as the day was miserable. We had a lovely fresh soup to warm us up followed by yummy toasted sandwiches. The piece the resistance was the tea and scones for desert. Sometimes it's the little things that count but it just made my day... More

The view from the restaurant is beautiful and our meals were just what we expected. Restaurant staff weren't overly friendly - seemed to be there to do a job - not to carry on any conversations.

On our sixth trip to Ireland, I experienced a phenomenon not previously experienced….mediocre service. As in being walked past four times without being asked if we wanted anything to drink and having to walk up to the bar for service. As in nobody checking afterward for refills or another Guinness. Not used to that in this great country. Can't say... More

The restaurant has had a refit and new menu since my last visit in summer 2012 . This time every was much improved and the food was beautiful, it just the type of addition that this famous old golf course needed !

This legendary club has a lovely restaurant overlooking the spectacular 9th hole (I think), the cliffs of Ballybunion and the ocean. Make sure you take a walk down to the seashore! The food is nice but the real draws are the club itself and the view.

The golf is outstanding but the bar/.restaurant is standard club type fare. the soup and sandwiches are OK but nothing special. Certainly worth a stop after a round of golf or if you're travelling in the area because the scenery is spectacular.
