A Real Hoot!

Bunratty Castle was revived by an Irish lord as a tourist attraction, that being said - -IT'S IRELAND! You are bound to have a good time just from interacting with the staff. Be careful, though, or you could end up in jail! During the feast some lucky (?) tourist is jailed in a tower for a bit... read more

I love that this takes place in a castle and the people putting on the show really care about what they do. The food was pretty good but nothing I would write home about. We had a great time listening to the singing and instruments. They had great mead to drink and the servers were very attentive to those with... More

Good, entertaining event for families and adults. Toddlers and younger should not go. Food was pretty good, for this kind of thing. Not sure why they took the bread away so fast? But the entertainment was wonderful. We do recommend, even if it does seem very tourist-y of a thing to do.

The food was very good; the entertainment first rate. May be a little cheesy and touristy, but it was one of our best evenings in Ireland. Would definitely recommend this as an attraction not to miss.

Don't miss this.........not as cheesy as we thought it might be. Genuinely entertaining and witty. Madrigal music by talented artists with a comic edge. All in medieval character, voice and costume. Yes the food is dross served in wooden bowls, but edible. We were just lacking a large Irish wolfhound to feed. Had an excellent evening, the castle is spectacular... More

The staff stayed in character (as medieval servants) and provided excellent service. The food was delicious, but be prepared to eat with your hands as part of the experience. There was entertainment (singing and storytelling) throughout the evening, with audience participation encouraged.

Highly recommend. Have dinner in Casteel. Great show and great food. Seating may have been a little cramped on the benches, but that is a little picky given how much there was there to see and here. Good castle and medieval experience.

We went to the famous Bunratty Banquet for our Valentine's date and it was a date with a difference. The entertainment was excellent with singing and music. The meal was basic and there was no choice. If you can't handle this and then the fact that you have no fork and eating with your fingers and at long tables sitting... More

The food was excellent ! The music outstanding, I wanted to join right in ! The jokes were very entertaining and the company, the surroundings , the settings carried one away. A most pleasurable evening !
