I had lunch here with two friends and we were all very happy with our food. I had grilled cod with mashed potatoes and peas. The fish was very well cooked and the sauce complemented it very well. The potatoes were excellent and the peas were well flavoured. The owners grow their own fruit and veg and use it in... More

Service fee for a party of ten people or more is very presumptuous, places an obligation on the customer rather leaving is as an act of appreciation for service, I was actually over tipping than the billed price, but I found this offensive so I tipped the stated requirement, perhaps this should be reconsidered...

The B&B owner at Glenrowan had recommended the Yellow Pepper as one of the better restaurants in Letterkenny, and he was correct. The manager, Kieran, chatted with us cordially before dinner about the various styles of Irish whiskeys. Dinner was simply topnotch. I had an excellent Irish shank of lamb with potatoes, along with a glass of merlot. One of... More

We met some Irish friends here at their suggestion. The food was delicious, and the staff friendly. The food covered a range , from more traditional Irish, to seafood, to the new and trendy.

Last night myself and 3 others visited this restaurant. After it being recommended to us by a few people we thought we should give it a go. On arrival we were greeted by a chap who seated us to our table. The menu read well and being a young chef and fussy eater the food around the table was second... More

The food was great and the staff wonderful but unfortunately our night was ruined by the noise from other customers. This place suffers from a common problem with modern restaurants - too many hard surfaces for the noise to bounce off. What a pity I hadn't read the review from kfood81 - I certainly would have avoided this restaurant.

We picked this restaurant for lunch on spec as we walked down the Main Street. It was very welcoming - there were three of us and a small baby and we were quickly provided with a high chair. Two of us had tapas which were very tasty and a good size ( some of he mashed potatoes went to the... More

This place was buzzing on the sat night we visited. I'm glad I booked a table for us. We didn't have starters because we reckoned we might have desserts and we did! I had monkish which was very good especially with the accompanying tomato and smoked paprika sauce. The lamb that hubby had was perfectly done and delicious. Our friend... More

Tried Yellow Pepper last night (Friday 15th) was very impressed with the service. Within minutes we were sat down at a table of our choosing and a jug of water set down (we didn't even ask but I've always said you shouldn't have to) so I was very impressed! Food ordered and complimentary wheaten bread to enjoy whilst our food... More

I used to be a big fan of The Yellow Pepper but the last two visits I have made have been really disappointing. On my last occasion we had the starter to share which came out cold and wasn't returned for nearly half an hour even though was only just heated up in the microwave. My main was ok, but... More
