Outstanding!

Had dinner in Gregan's yesterday, I can easily say it was the best meal I've had in a long time and for sure the best I've had in Ireland. It is surprising they don't have a Micheline star, the menu was creative, presentation second to none and the service excellent, I can not say enough about this... read more

After dining in a Michelin rated restaurant in Ireland (the George V) I cannot figure out why this place doesn't have one! Food was exceptional, service impeccable! Would dine here anytime I'm in Ireland. ! Very creative dishes, fantastic presentation and flavor! This sits in my top 5 of best places to dine!

We returned here for a second year to celebrate our anniversary. As in the previous year it was special. We enjoyed drinks before dinner in the corkscrew bar followed by dinner in the dining room. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Service was outstanding!

We were guests at a wedding in Gregans Castle where there was no expense spared. The location was fabulous, the ambiance was made special for the function but the food served, particularly the main courses, was way below expectations in terms of taste and content, with an overzealous (or maybe double) seasoning fest. The overall experience was better but for... More

We had a family dinner last weekend to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. There were 11 of us, including 2 young children and we had the tasting menu (separate menu for the children). There was nothing we could fault, and, although not cheap, the meal was good value for money. The food was amazing, and the service excellent. Don't... More

We visited Gregans Castle for the second time, and it was even better than the first time - and the first time was awesome. We had the 3-course meal (rather than the 11-courses available after 8 pm), and it was superb, and really 6 courses (at least - including complimentary starter, pre-dessert, and petit fours.). The heirloom tomato salad was... More

We four "ladies" dropped in for tea as we were touring the countryside--two moms (one American, one Irish) and our daughters. What a nice respite from the road and what a lovely place to stop! The scones with butter, jam and cream were absolutely delicious, the tea was hot and plentiful and the service couldn't have been nicer. (We also... More

We stayed two nights at Gregans and had the tasting menu on one evening - it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The food was outstanding from start to finish and they could not have been more helpful at adapting the menu for a pregnant lady who couldn't eat some things. The wines served also were... More

We went to Gregans Castle at the weekend for my mums 50th Birthday! Everyone was so excited about we are all very interested in food and thought it would be such a treat to go there. We had heard so many good things about the place and couldn't believe how bad it was. From start to finish it was a... More
