Ballyvaughan is such a beautiful place and situated along the quay is this beautiful little restaurant. The menu offers some mouth watering food - it is really is hard to decide. There is a wonderful selection of home made scones, cakes & desserts and the staff are really patient while you try to decide what to have! Out back is... More

It's lovely to sit on the porch, and the food is very good. The desserts spread out on the table as you come in are mouth watering and wonderful. They need to re-do their outside seating, since they used to have tables and chairs but have switched to slabs of rock and a handful of plastic chairs.

An absolute gem with a cake buffe from heaven. The seafoodplatter is also great value, dont bother with the salads though. Lovely setting!

Tea & Garden Rooms have a great selection and nice food and cakes but way overpriced for what you get. They definitely make a killing on the tourists and it being seasonal but why have to pay for when they're not busy. No complaints about the food just the price.

My wife and I, along with my mother-in-law and father-in-law visited the Tea Room between 16th-24th of May 2014. As we walked in; our eyes were immediately drawn to the large wooden table in the middle of the room - displaying a fantastic array of high-quality home-made cakes, presented well on decorative plates. We weren't disappointed when the cakes were... More

Our day going to the Cliffs of Mohr was pretty much a wash out. The one positive that came out of driving along those little roads through the rain is we happened upon The tea and Garden Room in Ballyvaughan. We were tired from flying into Ireland all night and disappointed that our first day was so rainy. When we... More

Went here on recommendation. Thought upon seeing the menu it was a tad overpriced and this was confirmed when the food arrived. Tiniest sandwich ever. My toddler daughter would have eaten more. Got a cup of soup with it. My husband got a croque monsieur sandwich and it was basically a grilled cheese sandwich. Got 2 cakes and a cookie... More

We ate here on our trip to Ireland in 1986. Stumbled on the place, almost drove by. Our good fortune that we stopped. I still have such wonderful memories of the place that I will come back. Soon too. I'm attaching a picture of the place back then, just a few years after it first opened. It had a thatched... More
