It's a fabulous location. The food is average. Value for money isn't great. More

Wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner here one evening while staying at nearby Rathmullan House. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. They had no problem adjusting the menu items to my wife's taste. I was surprised that we were only folks there that evening but well worth the visit, and highly recommend a visit. More

My husband and i celebrated our anniversary at the Water's Edge. We stayed on a mid-week break .On arrival we were shown to our beautiful room and we were really well looked after from that moment on. Meals, which we ate in the dining room overlooking Lough Swilly were very good, with professional, friendly and quick service. We had a relaxed... More

Stayed on a BB+D deal, on arrival all was in order and where able to change room for a better view over Lough Swilly with no problems, booked for dinner at time of arrival. Spent rest of day enjoying the short walk to Rathmullan beach. On arrival for dinner to a full resturant we were told that we were not... More

The setting is the stand-out feature of the Water's Edge, and it is right on the shoreline of Lough Swilly. The restaurant is well-designed to give most diners a really good view. Reservation seems to be needed in the busy months, although they seem to be able to slot you in if you can be flexible on time. Service is... More

What a pity the Waters Edge food doesn't match its surroundings. They have such an opportunity to provide fresh, well cooked local produce in particular fish and what they serve up in reality is no better than pub grub. And why or why when you ask for a steak to be cooked Medium Rare do restaurants continue to serve it... More
