About
Tucked away in the middle of Bray Harbour, you'll have to look closely to find Dockyard No.8 but you will be more than rewarded once you do. This is a top class breakfast, brunch, lunch and bistro spot that boasts an ever changing and innovative menu. Expect things to go above and beyond the usual fare while never compromising on quality. This a quaint and intimate spot where you really feel as though you can have dialogue with the chefs and those serving you as well as take in the harbour beauty.

A pleasant and relaxing cafe for a light snack or more substantial food. Prices are reasonable but cocktails on the expensive side. Gets busy from 12 noon.

Went here this morning with a friend, Had been here several times and really liked it. Friend ordered French toast and I ordered a mini breakfast without the egg.. when it arrived it was one rasher, sausage a mushroom and a half tomato.. most places...would give you something instead of the egg..not here , felt over €10 is a lot for 4 items and a slice of toast. Didn't complain but won't be racing back..there are places better value in and around BrayMore

They leave people waiting outside for a table, even when it's raining and they have small children. I would say there's margin for improvement. Never again, thank you

This spot was excellent. Incredibly tasty food and friendly service. We had chilli eggs with halloumi and the docklands breakfast. We couldn't recommend it more. We will be back.

Probably one of the best spots in Bray for lunch and certainly popular. The team of young ladies running the front of house do a fine job of keeping the service going and a churn of covers. The menu was great and food of a...good quality - fish and chips was great, but the pulled ham baguette was a little dry but probably as it was early afternoon when we were eating and did not spoil our enjoymentMore

Lovely restaurant near the harbor in Bray. Myself and my wife often have lunch here. The staff are very friendly and there is seating indoors and outdoors in an enclosed area. The outdoor area is fully enclosed and heated so it is good even in...the winter. The prices are reasonable and they do a lovely mini breakfast. Would recommend.More

Great food and service! Took the train down the coast from Dublin for a day visit. After a long walk up and down the promenade and the daunting, vertical hike up Bray Head to the cross, we had a robust and very tasty meal at...Dockyard No. 8. when we arrived they told us there was a short wait and we were welcome to pop in next-door to the Harbour Bar for a pint and they would come fetch us when our table was ready, which they did; and at the end of our meal got us our check quickly when we were trying to make an upcoming train back to Dublin.More

Recently visited Dockyard in Bray for brunch. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful throughout and the food was out of this world. I had the Chefs Breakfast which was delicious, and my husband had the eggs benny. He said the ham was particularly...juicy and tasty. Really enjoyable brunch. Will definitley be back.More

Went here for brunch with friends. Ordered the eggs benny, full Irish and ham hock fries and spicy wings So disappointed with the food. The ham hock fries tasted like fish which really turned me off. Also they were a rip off for fishy chips....Would be great if they used different oil for the chips as it is quite disgusting. The spicy wings were very poor quality and had no taste, also very cheap meat, most likely frozen. Full Irish was tasty but sausage and pudding very low quality. Very expensive for the low quality food produced. Will say the staff are lovely though only redeeming quality. Definitely will not be backMore

I went with my sister-in-law for brunch, and when we entered we were immediately met by a very welcoming member of staff. The venue was very busy, and we were directed upstairs. The staff were polite and attentive. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, thinking I...would get a slice of ham, but when the order came the ham was in fact big lumps of juicy and flavourful meat. The hollandaise was delicious, and the portion was huge. My SIL had the 'small' breakfast, which she really enjoyed. Everything was spot on.More

Disappointed and angry I recommended it to a friend recently... Brunch turned out to be a complete disaster. On the photo it looks good but it was just plain and I only picked at my eggs. Lacks finesse or flavour, whichever is easier to add,...please fix it!More
