Faultless meal, faultless service

We decided to go to Chez Hans because it's honestly the only really top-notch place in the area and we wanted a real treat to cap off a week's stay in Cahir. And it was sooo worth it. We had an elderly relative who wanted to take home the soda bread we had not finished. The lovely Hostess encouraged her to take it, wrapped it in a container and made us all feel so comfortable that we stayed longer than we planned. beautiful food, terrific ambiance and wonderful service.

I had heard great things about this place and was excited to see for myself. The bar is great with a good atmosphere. The main room in the restaurant is beautiful place to have dinner. The wine list is very small and uninspiring, but the sommelier knew his stuff and was good fun. Our whole group very much enjoyed their... More

we went here on a busy Friday night after hearing so much about this restaurant. we were seated in the bar which is really cosy old and full of character. we had our drinks and were handed our menus, after ordering our food we were brought to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautiful and is worth a visit alone,a... More

It's really good and well done food. Portions sizes are fairly small but it's all about presentation in high end restaurants like this one. It is expensive but the food is really good and it's a nice quiet restaurant. The staff is also excellent and professional.

I have eaten in the chez hans cafe and restaurant on my way from dublin to cork and back and I love the food. The food is always cooked to perfection and is fully of flavour. The setting is also amazing as its in an old church and its all just very enjoyable and I will be back to Chez... More

Many years ago i went to Chez Hans (about 1982) and it was really the best ever meal and a fantastic discovery. Role the picture forward and late last year I took my wife for a first visit to Ireland and on the agenda was to discover if Chez Hans was still there in the 'Church'. Not only was it... More

Having only been to Chez Hans once before a number of years ago I was quite enthusiastic to repeat the experience and I was not disappointed. We received a great service, a fantastic meal and good value for money. Chez Hans is not your average restaurant, it is one of the best in the country and its busy atmosphere proves... More

This place is fabulous! Elegant yet cost atmosphere with down to earth staff. Pate starter was outstanding and lemon meringue desert was the best I have ever tasted! Main was nice and simple, no crazy flavor! Couldn't fault it!

We ate here on a Saturday in November. There were four of us and the booking was made well in advance. We arrived in good time to allow ourselves time for a drink in the bar. It was a busy evening in the restaurant but we were served our drinks promptly as we savoured the atmosphere. It was my first... More
