We ate here on a Saturday in November. There were four of us and the booking was made well in advance. We arrived in good time to allow ourselves time for a drink in the bar. It was a busy evening in the restaurant but we were served our drinks promptly as we savoured the atmosphere. It was my first... More

After many visits to Chez Hans over the years I can easily say I've never been disappointed. From the minute you arrive to when you leave you're treated as though you're the only customer in the place. The quaint waiting area, the restaurant itself and the staff are all excellent. Really good quality local produce is cooked to perfection and... More

We were sit in the bar area where we ordered and then moved in the nice dining room. The food was excellent the service during the meal was good. It was... More

We ate heer on a Friday evening. We were asked to wait in the bar area which was was very spacious and comfortable. We were given menus and had a drink while waiting. The design and layout of the restaurant looks great and there a nice buzzing atmosphere. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and when we... More

I booked Chez Hans a while ago as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. I had heard a lot about the place. What a disappointment! We got there and i thought it was quite nice to let us have a drink before dinner in their bar area; we sat and ordered 2 mojitos. The mojitos were not great but maybe... More

On a dreary wet November tuesday recently a kind friend brought four of us to Chez Hans Cashel. Within seconds the weather outside diappeared from consciousness. We had been there a long thirty five years ago and I am thrilled to witness that it has maintained its wonderful culinary standards over the intervening years! Indeed it might even have got... More

There are occasions when a restaurant doesn't live up to the recommendations from friends and the generally positive vibe it gets on TripAdvisor. That was our experience with Chez Hans in Cashel, the suggested stop off point en route to Cork on a Friday evening. While grateful that the restaurant could accommodate us without a booking, we were underwhelmed by... More

This restaurant is by far one of my favourite places to have a meal. The staff are very helpful and professional. The place is always top notch. I had a meal here for the first time in 2008 with my family. We were all picky eaters but there was not one thing that we did not like. Even my Mum,... More

Ate here for dinner before our flight back. The food was of very high quality with very reasonable prices. I would highly recomend this place for anyone. It is set in an old church and makes for an interesting venue for dinner.
