Great for lunch!

Lovely place for lunch after visiting the Rock of Cashel. It's walkable from the Rock, so don't move your car. Imaginative menu using local products, and there is a great prix fixe lunch.

We had a good meal here but I didn't feel as if this restaurant lived up to the hype really. Good quality food. Attentive staff. Quite liked the building but I've been to other restaurants set in old churches that have made much better use of the features...really loved some of the art work on the walls though! Bar a... More

Had one of the best dinners in a long time. Service was excellent and the food was first class, cooked to perfection and well presented. I will definitely return.

Lovely old restored 15th century building. Second time I have been to Chez Hans - just as brilliant as the first time. Pre dinner drinks in the small entrance lounge/bar and then into the dining room Impressive service up front - nothinh to much trouble. Table service equally good even though the restaurant was nearly full. Food excellent - lovely... More

Top notch evening out. The menu offers a great variety of starters, mains and desserts. This time I got to enjoy the goats cheese tart, duck confit and last but not least (there's always room for) the white chocolate and lime mousse dessert. The food is always of the highest standard, flavoursome and perfectly presented. The staff are tremendous, polite... More

We went and tried the 3 course menu and everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the mussels, duck terrine, salmon, and pudding. Good deal for the price, setting and service.

What a delightful place. We were seated in a lovely comfortable lounge with a bar as we ordered a drink and perused the menu. Then we were invited into the main restaurant and each had three very nice courses. All loved the food and the service was top notch. We had made a reservation in person the day before and... More

We had dinner in this special restaurant while in Cashel. It was quite the unique experience and we enjoyed every minute of it. When you arrive you sit in the bar area. We chose a lovely little table for two. We ordered drinks and while we were having our drinks we were given menus to look over. After we had... More

The food was incredible - from the bread, to the starters, to the main dishes and desserts! We had a great time!! The service was great and the atmosphere was excellent. The dining experience itself is unique because the restaurant is in an old beautiful church! The Barbury Duck Cooked Two Ways was incredible and the " Tree" Chocolate Desserts... More

Chez Hans is housed in an old church just down the road from the Rock of Cashel. Food was delicious and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend. Reservations would be encouraged.
