My group (11) from Texas was referred to this restaurant by our driver. What an amazing surprise!. After a misty tour of the castle we were ready for some comfort food. This is exactly what we found. The Irish Stew was the best we have ever had and the Shepherds pie was superb. We were served the buffet by the... More

After braving the rain, wind and sunshine of the Rock of Cashel we were ready for a warm and hearty lunch. Rockhouse Restaurant fit the occasion perfectly with it's delicious home-cooked buffet of lunch options (upstairs). The staff was very patient with us, explaining the unfamiliar options and making recommendations for our group of five. The servings are abundantly filling... More

Cafeteria style food, located upstairs, was very stuffy. Confusing to read the menu and walk up to order, I wasn't really sure what came with what and how much it all was. Study the menu before walking up. What I ordered was very good. Husband ordered sandwich special and it was cheap and very good. I would rate this place... More

We went into the Rockhouse Restaurant because we liked the choices and prices on the menu posted outside (that said "all day menu"). When we went in we were given an entirely different menu with sandwiches and pizzas. The menu said a gluten free pizza crust was available, but when I ordered it, I was told they don't make a... Dear Gradresearcher, I would like to apologise that the menu posted outside was unavailable to you at the time of your visit. In the evenings the main restaurant is closed which serves the All Day Menu. The Rock House Bistro on the ground floor remains open till closing at 7.00pm and, as you indicated, has its own menu. Our launch... More

We , my partner and I stopped off on route to Cork from Dublin and because of the need to get something quick The Bristro was the first place we spotted on way into Cashel. We enjoyed this restaurant after our visit to the Rock of Cashel. Even though the restaurant was packed with people, the service was prompt and friendly. Our meals were terrific and the bread was the best we had in all of Ireland.

After viewing the Rock I took my group to the Rockhouse Restaurant for a cooking demonstration and lunch. Joe Adher has to be the Emeril Lagasse of Ireland. My group just loved him. After having visited the Rock and some other attractions, we needed something to eat and drink. This place is very handy and we could stay parked in the same location. Food was okay, nothing special but certainly satisfied and was not overly priced.
