Fascinating list of famous names, extracted from the hotel register, on one wall near the bar. Another wall has a painting of a small group of people at the races (Cheltenham 1952, I think) - again you can amuse yourself by spotting the famous people in the group.

We had a very fine lunch in the sit down restaurant recently. At first we thought it strange, they seemed to be encouraging us to go to the bar food, but in fact the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food, very good indeed. For a three course lunch for four, including two half bottles of the house... More

We were trying not to have a big lunch as we were having dinner later but couldn't resist a cheese plate. We couldn't finish it so the charming waitress kept it for us for after dinner. It was totally refreshed with new cheese and fruit when we it it later after dinner. Lunch was very good and reasonably priced. Lovely... More

We dined here as party of 6 with two almost 7 year old grandsons. Food was excellent (though a bit slow in arriving) and service was delightfully attentive.

The food here was absolutely gorgeous. I had a risotto of duck rillets and Parmesan shavings followed by baked cod with roast vegetables that were cooked to perfection. A white chocolate panacotta to finish off with gorgeous coffee topped the meal off to perfection. Add in a great waitress (Claire) and it was special!

A group of about 22 of us ate here the night after my wedding and it was absolutely delicious. Even though we were a large group the set menu that were given was still very varied, and very well priced. Its just really nice good hearty irish/european cooking, with a hint of fine dining in the taste and presentation. Not... More

My partner and I have the pleasure of eating here only recently on a weekend away in its fantastic hotel, the Cashel Palace. The service is top quality and extremely professional. The menu is almost all locally sourced produce, which just adds more the taste and feel of it all. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking... More

We had dinner here on a recent stay, great food and friendly staff, beautiful setting with its vaulted ceilings and open fire. Very good overall. Recommend a visit.

We stopped in here to nourish our tourist appetite after touring the Rock of Cashel and the town. The seafood chowder was excellent as well as the Guinness and the service. Small and cozy - catering to the residents of the Cashel Palace hotel - but we were made to feel welcome, The grounds and surroundings to the hotel are... More
