Jacuzzi baths! Wonderful! And the food is to die for....A perfect place to enjoy a restful space with top class food

Top class food is only part of it. Hanora's welcome is legendary..they can't do enough for you, whether it's hiking routes or other activities, the staff are helpful and friendly. And it's set in one of the most picturesque areas of the south. A must-visit place to go.

We have just been back to Hanora's Cottage and this time followed the signs and which were a great help. Lovely to be greeted like long lost friends by Mary, who had a welcoming cup of tea and freshly backed cakes ready for us. We had a lovely room (#10) which we would recommend to anyone thinking of staying. Dinner,... More

What a treat! Delicious, excellent service, beautiful setting. My new favourite place to dine. Polished but not pretentious. Just ideal.

Hanora's Cottage was a really cute place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is top notch! Perfect for us as we had family in the area that we were visiting with. The one down side is the reception, but you can't expect to go out in the country a bit and still get great wifi. However, that... More

Nice out of the way stay, quiet relaxing atmosphere, beautiful house. Nice gardens to wonder through. Mary makes all her breads, also you can buy jars of preserves... chutneys etc. Great breakfast. Wifi only available in one room but don't let this bother you- it is not their fault.

I had the pleasure of staying a night in this quaint, beautifully old fashioned cottage for sadly just one night recently. We were warmly welcomed by staff - mostly family - and treated to an experience to behold! The food is just amazing - and the relaxed atmosphere is very welcome in this very busy world! The produce is all... More

Brilliant food and excellent service. A unique and fun experience as you select your meal by the fire and chat with the host before been brought into the restaurant for dinner.

This is in the middle of nowhere first and foremost and most defiantly not worth the travel distance, its out past ballymacarbry on a very narrow country dangerous road. The food was a set menu of €39 which was very dear for the food I got. Was very disappointed with my fish main course, completely overcooked and ate two mouthfuls... More
