Nice quiet pub.

Tierney's bar has always been a good spot for my friends and i to go when we want a relaxed environment to enjoy a pint and have a chat. Although it has been a few years since i last had food at Tierney's i do not recall anything bad about it. Would recommend.

My family and I were visiting Clonmel and just happened to come across Tierneys. The menu appeared to be good so we decided to have lunch there. Our order was taken by the most manic rudest man I have ever come across. He literally ran around as if the restaurant was extremely busy when in fact there were people sitting... More

Me and a group of friends (4including me) wanted a pub lunch, and Tierneys was closest. We sat down straight away, ordered our drinks and food pretty much straight away. I had eaten here a few times in the past and they must have changed chef, as these meals where more about the presentation than the taste. After the meal... More

When I went with my bf to this restaurant I was pretty hyped up. The decor was lovely, and the place very nicely done. We sat at a nice table on a comfy divan near the electric fireplace. The bar seemed well stocked. Things started to go downhill immediately however. First of all the staff seemed to forget we were... More

I booked this place after I saw some good reviews. I must say it was a very bad choice. From the beginning things started to go bad. To book I sent an email but had to follow it up with a telephone call as there was no reply to my email. When we arrived we were seated in a nice... More

On my recent visit to Ireland, I visited Clonmel in Tipperary for 2 days. I had a very nice time there and met some friendly people. On my second day I decided I would go for a proper meal in a bar or restaurant. As I'm spoiled for choice as far as mediteranean restaurants are concerned where I live, I... More

Dark wood interior brightened with brass and stained glass. The bar area is sectioned off into cozy little compartments, giving the place an intimate feel. The walls are covered in interesting pictures and objects. The food was of the type you would expect in a pub, with good portions well prepared and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive.

Cosy pub with great food cooked fresh. Typical bar food served but well presented. Lovely atmosphere for food or for quiet drinks. Heated beer garden adds to the appeal.

I arrived at "Tierney's" for some food, after reading the good reviews here.. I got to the pub, by myself at 8.35pm after finishing a meeting with work, the gentleman in the pub said they finished taking orders 5mins ago and could not take my order, I asked if I could even get a roll etc... He only had the... More
