Best fresh cod in Dundalk

I always come back here for the fresh cod. I'm a pescatarian so I don't have much on offer in a lot of establishments so I'm picky about what I do get. I've heard that the baked potatoes are lovely and great offers for those who don't want everything deep fried. The only reason I marked down was... read more

If you are looking for quality tasty food this is not the place. Food was bland, tasteless and presentation was poor. Waitress inefficient and lacked personality. A cheap joint that lacks ambience.

Usually go for special dinner. Starter or desert plus main meal. Portions not big but food ok. Last time I was there I was told no specials left. Then told I can't have ice cream with trifle which I was always offered. An American waitress was cheeky and rude. She huffed with me and did not speak but spoke to... More

Ate here looking for dinner after arriving in Dundalk and checking in to our B&B. First few pubs we checked out the menu and found them to be pricey, more than we paid in Dublin. Next we stumbled across Kingfisher and checked out their menu. Much lower prices than what we had seen in Dundalk so far, and even lower... More

I used to go to the Roma once a month say on a Sunday but now it's deff the kingfisher. There chicken burgers are amazing! And the all day breakfast is huge such good value. My son loves after his meal he gets his wee ice cream!

Having arrived in Dundalk at a time when many cafes have closed but restaurants have not yet opened, we were delighted to find The Kingfisher served just what we were looking for: good quality food at affordable prices. We had the freshest of fish from the specials board served with chips and a crisp salad by friendly waiting staff. We... More

Visit here when we attend a meeting very close by at night time. We being a group of 4 adults. Food okay. Friendly staff, prompt service. Good range of food. Price range okay. I like my tea and this is one venue the tea is never the best in my opinion. The staff have dealt with my comment very well... More

I've eaten in the Kingfisher several times, the food is always good but the service is hit and miss. The time before last the waitresses spent more time chatting to eat other than checking on the customers. Yesterday we went there again and I'm please to say the service was much better.
