Great Pub and Great Dining

What a great place. The pub section was as close to a Irish pub experience as I have seen , complete with a small group of 'locals' beside us who were laughing and joking and telling stories as only the Irish can. Our small group could have spent much longer just listening to the 'craic' at the... read more

We were looking forward to our visit here. It was my daughters communion and she was looking forward to it. Everything was brilliant until the dessert. The main course and starter was gorgeous. The problems started when we ordered desserts. I had ordered rhubarb crumble from the menu, what arrived was apple crumble and even worse after 20minutes my daughters... More

I've read a lot of reviews about Fitzpatrick's and I really don't know how this place gets any negative feedback. It is simply one of the best dining experiences that I've ever had! The atmosphere and the restaurant is fantastically decorated with little gems from the years gone by, the setting is beautiful, the menu is such that whether you... More

Came here many times always with great service and fantastic food with the same group of people. Was wanting to celebrate a special occasion...what a disappointment! Service was dreadful..had to go to bar and ask for someone to serve us and eventually or food and drink order was taken. Got drink and eventually breads and dips which at first glance... More

Hi Catherine, Firstly I would like to apologise to you and your party for what happened on the day that you visited Fitzpatrick’s. Secondly I try not to get involved in what’s right and wrong in public I do prepare to address these issues in private. I don’t reply too many of the comments made on this open forum (trip... More

Sunday lunch is very good value, with an excellent choice of starters and mains even for a vegetarian.

What a wonderful place to eat. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Fitzpatricks. We started our weekend in Dublin eating at the various restaurants along the way. Nothing compared to this pub/restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing. The food divine and cooked exactly as we requested. The staff friendly and happy, comfortable seating and great value for money. There... More

Firstly let me say there is a massive effort put into the decoration at Fitzpatricks. At different times throughout the year the external entrance and car park serves as a haunted house or Santa's grotto (with reindeer) depending on the season. Even inside there is a plethora of trinkets and nostalgic paraphernalia that could belong in a museum rather than... More

Visited on a busy Friday evening arriving with no booking at 6.30pm - we were seated right away at the only spare table. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was gorgeous. We ordered from the set menu goats cheese and warm bacon salad to start which were very well presented and tasty. We then had steak and... More

We travelled around an hour to visit Firzpatrick's on a friends recommendation. The decor and setting is fantastic, bathed in vintage signs and memorabilia. We were a party of four arriving for lunch at just after 1pm; the restaurant was between half and two thirds full. We counted four members of waiting staff passing us by without any acknowledgement and... More
