We have been to this restaurant on different occasions in the past. Last night we went back, it has been a few months since we were there. There is a new menu which is varied and easy to understand and you get exactly what you order. We had soup for starter and a garlic and cheese bread that they bake... More

Myself and my family chose Left Bank as the venue for a small family gathering a fortnight ago. Having been a regular patron for some time, I was slightly hesitant in trying their new-look "grill" menu, fearing that it might mitigate my long-standing high estimations of the restaurant and its food. I needn't have worried - the new and improved... More

I visited the Left Bank recently having not been there in some time. In the space of 2 years it has seriously fallen from grace. I was shocked at the appalling level of customer service and the 'cheap' menu. The set menu reminded me of something you'd see in a hotel being run by NAMA. The 'bruschetta' was an insult... More

Myself and my boyfriend went to the left bank for an anniversary meal...when we arrived we were greeted by a standoffish lady who told us to sit over there, a few minutes later we were handed menus...without any communication from the staff member....whilst we browsed through the menus, we were left not knowing what our options were as there seemed... What can I say.3 hours after sitting down in this hole we had our dessert put in front of us.Granted we were in a group of 15 but never in my life have I spent that much time sitting at a restaurant table. It's possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had, definitely the worst in Dundalk. As for the food, the starter consisted... I've been to the left bank quite a few times for lunch.. well, there's room for improvement. First, I like the front bar area. I like the back restaurant area. I DO NOT like that little crappy area in the middle where the staff keep trying to sit me every time I visit. Yes, I know it's easier for them... More

Ate twice here in September, once for a romantic birthday dinner and once with two kids in tow. Both times the food was excellent and the kids eat free option on Sunday was really good. All the staff are lovely but on both occasions the place felt a little understaffed, staff seriously running around and long waits for food which... More

Eat here on a regular basis, have to say its top notch, and great value. Mostly I have the steak, fillet to be precise, never did I get a chewy or fatty one yet, it's flavor is like BBQ grilled. I had the fish and chip recently but I was disappointed in it as it was very greasy. The kids... More
