We went here for our wedding anniversary in December. We had been looking forward to the castle setting and had expected it might be a bit like Cabra Castle, but we ended up being a bit underwhelmed by the restaurant surroundings. You come in a side entrance, up some stairs and into an area that feels more pub/carvery-ish, than like... More

I cannot fault this place, EVER !! The quality and quantity of food that is even on the set menu is fantastic and I have never had a bad experience here. I feel at times the staff are under pressure but manage well. The tables at times can be placed too close together but otherwise the set up is brilliant.... More

I had a lovely evening in Darver Castle on a Friday evening. The place was very busy, and since it is located away from the beaten track, this was a great sign to see it so packed. The surroundings and inside alike are very nice and extremely well maintained. The service was very friendly and efficient. I had a steak,... More

We went here celebrate our daughters 21st. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The place was full but they attended to everyone without any pressure. We all got steaks and they were fab. It was a little empty when we got there, but soon filled up and the ambiance was lovely. It is very comfortable. No hard wooden seats... More

We ate as a family at the Grain Store during a recent trip to Ireland. Set in the backdrop of the fabulous Darver Castle we were very impressed with our surroundings. Food was of excellent quality, staff were extremley attentive and could not have served us better. We thoroughly enjoyed our expercience and will definitley be returning.

We had our wedding reception at Darver castle on the 22 August 2013. We chose this venue 2 years before our wedding and every time we contacted them or visited them to discuss the wedding, they were fantastic to deal with. They definitely guided us in the right direction on all aspects of the reception. On the day itself EVERYTHING... More

We had our wedding reception here on 1st June 13 and we could not recommend them highly enough. The staff at Darver Castle are not only excellent, they are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond at every turn. Mary is incredible. She is everywhere, doing everything all at once. Trevor is so good at... More
