This is a lovely restaurant. Good value and very tasty. Lovely atmosphere and easy to imagine being on holiday in Italy instead of at home in Dundalk. Has a romantic feel about it 😊

Visited La Cantina to give it a try and it was disappointing to say the least. The food was average. For example the side portions we got were frozen chips (there was no potatoes) and we got green vegetables which were frozen an not fresh. The mains were nothing to talk about. The wine and coffee was good though! The... More

We decided to stop for our dinner on our way back to Dublin after visiting the Titanic Exhibition in Belfast. When we got to La Cantina it was 20 mins before opening time but they had no problems letting all 8 of us go in & the welcome was warm & genuine. When we ordered drinks a member of our... More

My family used to be regulars at La Cantina, we used to go every Thursday and we loved it, it used to be the highlight of our eating week but ever since the change if management a number of years ago, it has gone downhill, badly! I ranted and raved to my girlfriend about it for months and when we... More

First impressions were good, a lovely, very old brick building, that had been converted sympathetically. decor was very quirky and cheerful. We were seated straight away by a lovely waitress, and served very quickly. There was no kids menu but we got them a pizza to share with sides of chips and pasta which they enjoyed. DH and I had... I came here on Sunday night with my husband for something to eat around 7pm. We hadn't been here in probably over a year. I was a bit disappointed the last time but decided to give it another try. Was glad we did as we really enjoyed it! There was quite a few tables of people eating and a good... More

We have had Italian in Dublin, Europe and USA; this charming well-run restaurant always 'hits the spot'; delicious food; lovely ambience; good service and friendly staff. Well worth the trek into town...passing a number of eateries on the way. Thank You LC.
