On the last day of our holiday in Ireland, heading back to Dublin we stopped off in Athlone for our breakfast. We were made very welcome on arrival and our order was taken promptly by very friendly staff. The food was good, we had the full breakfast which was accompanied by toast, delicious soda bread and a plentiful supply of... More

I'm a regular to this cafe and all because the food is excellent with good healthy size servings. Also the staff are very friendly. The pricing is typical of what you will pay anywhere else.

Four of us called in early one Friday, in fact so early that it wasn't open but the chef brought us in and sat us down. He was very friendly and had a laugh with us before taking our orders. I went for the porridge with honey which was really good and a big serving. The others went for the... More

Accidentally stumbled across this restaurant while passing through the town. I could not recommend this place enough. Everything was top notch. Beautiful little restaurant, very helpful staff, very accommodating of dietary needs, super fast service and delivery, and BIG delicious high quality meals for an affordable price. So impressed with our visit!!! The gluten and dairy free homemade brown bread... More

Only came across this establishment earlier this year and I have to say, it is my favourite place to eat in Athlone, from their fresh scones to their philly cheese steak the food is faultless. I have eaten here on a number of occasions (from sit down to takeout) and never had a problem with their food. The staff are... More

After all the great reviews was excited to try this place out for breakfast. Modern, decorated nicely. Staff were friendly. We were seated promptly and excited for a great meal. Well....... The eggs benedict, which i had been dying for after reading the reviews, was just not good. The eggs were overcooked and very, very small amount of white compared... More

For lunch on our fist day of a short brake in Athlone we visited the above restaurant. It is a small enterprise, just off the "main drag", but it came with a good recommendation. We were greeted pleasantly, led to a table and handed menus with no delay. My wife ordered a panini, and I ordered a "Philly" sandwich; we... More

I took my friend there and we had 1 portion of poached egg with salmon, that was sufficient enough for us 2. And - very tasty! Also a baby boy that was there with us was treated with respect and attention. Lovely morning there, no hassle and delicious.

Excellent food and service here along with extremely fresh ingredients. A must visit for lunch or even just a coffee and cake.
