Looking for somewhere to go for lunch in athlone we stumbled on this place. Had never heard a thing good or bad about it before. It was truly awful some of the worst food I've tasted. I ordered a steak sandwich. It was served on soggy bread and covered in honey mustard salad dressing... I could not actually believe what... More

Di Bella offers a wide range of Italian meals of an excellent standard. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I wanted a Britvic 55 but they didn't have any so they made me a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice mixed with homemade lemonade which was delicious! Our waiter was very attentive and helped us decide on our meals.... More

Reading the good reviews on this place certainly made us want to find out for ourselves. They are true, Di Bella is well worth a visit. The waiters are very good and also friendly!!! Food is tasty and well prepared. Prices are reasonable. Good atmosphere.

Wasn't expecting to find this place. We were headed to another highly rated cafe in Athlone but it was closing time. The cafe owners suggested this place - "we eat there ourselves regularly". So we tried it and glad we did. Great menu and great food. Try it if you happen thru Athlone.

We were looking for a place to eat when driving between Galway and Dublin. Unlike the US where there are a million eateries right off the highway, that's not the case off the motorway in Ireland. We got off at Athlone and drove and drove, not finding anything open (it was a Sunday and MANY places were closed). We finally... More

I have never been as dissapointed in an establishment as I was in Di Bella. I genuinely had heard nothing but good reviews about this restaurant and frankly I'm amazed. I've ate better food at quarter the price in cheap Cafes across Spain. Firstly, the waiting area and the manner in which people are treated is disgraceful. After waiting for... More

This restaurant was recomended to us by the staff of our hotel . It was a Saturday evening and although we had booked we had to wait for a table , the waiting area is a narrow hall which is a great first impression. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the restaurant is very clean . The food... More

This restaurant for me was pricy, poor food selection & very business like, not cosy. Not asked if things okay etc. Some people may like this but I prefer a more homely, friendly sort of restaurant.

This unassuming looking restaurant was recommended to us by a member of staff from the Creggan Court Hotel and we were delighted with it. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive even though it was a very busy night.
