Consistently excellent

We have stayed and dined at the Wild Honey Inn for three consecutive years and each time we have found our stay wonderful. The rooms we have stayed in are well appointed and comfortable. Food was fantastic. However the service was very very poor. The service was very slow with no acknowledgement of the customer from the front of house staff. The manner of the front of house staff left a lot to be desired. The service was so bad I don't think I will be back even if the food was very good.

We are a small group who love good food so choose the wild honey inn for a night of fine dining. The atmosphere was cosy, we knew the owners and our waitress was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was a great night, low key just what we wanted but oh my goodness the food is fantastic

We stopped by Lisdoonvarna on our way to Cliffs of Moher, for a coffee break. I ordered apple pie, that was one of the best apple pies I ever had.

Too expensive and poor recognition of return customers. We have eaten here regularly but without any recognition of this fact. Pity as other local premises recognise us as regular customers and acknowledge us.

Stayed for two nights had breakfast two mornings and dinner one night. Very reasonable. Fresh fruit, granola (home made?) fresh baked Scones for breakfast were super, and cooked breakfast was tasty - locally produced and nicely cooked. Dinner was excellent - I had pigeon and shoulder of lamb. I think my wife had goats cheese and fish. Beautiful presentation, not... More

Went there at 6pm when they opened for dinner and the 2 tables by the fire had reserved signs on them and Its meant to be a no reservation policy! A group of 4 came in the same time as us but once seeing the menu stood up and left I put it down to the prices! The menu was... More

We just like what they do here.Food, service and welcome simply the best. There should be more casual places serving food like Wild Honey Inn, easily the best food served in a bar in Ireland

I found WIld Honey on the Internet and found it quite easily. It is tiny and quirky. I had the day's special which was handmade pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle oil and it was superb. Well worth seeking out if you like authentic Italian food rather than typical tourist places.

When holidaying in fabulous West Clare, we drove 20 miles on the recommendation of our B & B hostess to this Bar Restaurant with a reputation for top class cuisine. The first surprise was that it does not take reservations, so we drove the 20 miles not quite sure we would get a table. We were in luck and were... More
