with all the reviews for the Wild Honey Inn was expecting nice food but it was disappointing, I got the crabs claws for starters which was nice but the soda bread we got was definitely not fresh but because we were hungry we ate it. For main course i got the neck of lamb, tasted lovely but was tough with... More

Difficult to find enough superlatives for the food here. chef Aidan McGrathprepares local food with skill and imagination. The tomatoes in the lobster/tomato appetizer tasted the way they did 30 years ago. The duck skin was perfectly seared without over cooking the meat. Don't miss the toffee pudding. Negative was heat and noise and overwhelmed staff.

We had an evening meal here, mid-August 2014.Even though it was late, justbefore 9 p.m. there was no problem in being served. Place was busy, friendly staff, clean, tasty, well-prepared food. Not expensive, for the quality of food we got. Well done!

We had a fantastic meal her in Mid July. The risotto , Crab claws, Lamb and Hake were all simply wonderful. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again, the setting was lovely and staff were professional friendly and helpful despite being very busy. It really was a top class experience

Recently ate an early meal at this well-known spot in Lisdoonvarna. I have to recommend it thoroughly. Food was very high standard, a nice wine list, a cosy place to sit and dine and the staff are A1. Only gripe: the bathrooms are very much consistent with a pub setting and really could use an upgrade. Otherwise, we'll be back.... More

We go to WHI on a regular basis and it never disappoints. Kate and Aidan must be the hardest working couple in the land, they are always there, and despite the volume of people they must see daily they are always smiling. Kate is just a wonderful host, and to compliment this Aidan serves some of the most innovative bistro... More

Out of about 7 tables, we were one of the first in for dinner and all of the other tables came in after us and were served before us. On top of the bad service, the food was mediocre at best and the most expensive while we were in Ireland. If you are a woman and just finished 6 months... More

Although this pub came recommend, we were not impressed. We got there and the place was empty. It still took 1.45 minutes to get the food and the order was wrong. They served the salad after the meal at 2.15 hours. The food was very rich compared to the other pubs. My dinner was swimming in olive oil. I would... More

Just back after a 2 night stay' all I can say is that I can;t wait to go back. Had dinner on both nights and as always it was brilliant. There was 3 of us in the party and we had trouble trying to pick faults in our choices. Over 2 nights there was no repeats. The joy of eating... More
