Good food but pricey

We had a meal for three here. The food was good but a bit pricey for homemade burgers. The service was good and the bar was well kept and comfortable.

Stayed for two nights had breakfast two mornings and dinner one night. Very reasonable. Fresh fruit, granola (home made?) fresh baked Scones for breakfast were super, and cooked breakfast was tasty - locally produced and nicely cooked. Dinner was excellent - I had pigeon and shoulder of lamb. I think my wife had goats cheese and fish. Beautiful presentation, not... More

Went there at 6pm when they opened for dinner and the 2 tables by the fire had reserved signs on them and Its meant to be a no reservation policy! A group of 4 came in the same time as us but once seeing the menu stood up and left I put it down to the prices! The menu was... More

We just like what they do here.Food, service and welcome simply the best. There should be more casual places serving food like Wild Honey Inn, easily the best food served in a bar in Ireland

I found WIld Honey on the Internet and found it quite easily. It is tiny and quirky. I had the day's special which was handmade pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle oil and it was superb. Well worth seeking out if you like authentic Italian food rather than typical tourist places.

When holidaying in fabulous West Clare, we drove 20 miles on the recommendation of our B & B hostess to this Bar Restaurant with a reputation for top class cuisine. The first surprise was that it does not take reservations, so we drove the 20 miles not quite sure we would get a table. We were in luck and were... More

This is a lovely hotel with a very nice restaurant ... but if you're hungry don't go!! The portions were extremely small and I had to wait half an hour to be served!! The food (what little there was of it) was very nice and tasty.

My mother has wanted to eat at this restaurant for awhile, having read about it in the paper. So we decided to go early on a Saturday to ensure we got a table as there was a policy of no reservations. We arrived shortly after 18:00 and were the first in the restaurant. It was a cold, wet evening and... More

Blue cheese salad had a lovely crunch and taste married well. Crab claw portion a little mean. Husbands steak was a tad fatty. Cosy, inviting and great ambience. Food a little too fancy and pricey could be busier if things were pulled back to basics a little.
