Blue cheese salad had a lovely crunch and taste married well. Crab claw portion a little mean. Husbands steak was a tad fatty. Cosy, inviting and great ambience. Food a little too fancy and pricey could be busier if things were pulled back to basics a little.

Went to The Wild Honey Inn for dinner. Décor was beautiful, blazing fire and lovely ambience. Had a beautiful starter and we were eagerly looking forward to the main course. The fish tasted old or possibly cooked from frozen and the pork cheek was really horrible like a boiled tasteless piece of old bacon . The bits that accompanied it... More

Food is amazing and we will be back. It's a little on the expensive side thou and I was disappointed when I ordered crab claws as a mains and only received a tiny portion. I'm afraid to see how many claws are in the starter portion. That said, the venue is romantic, very clean with a warm atmosphere.

Dropped in here recently on a Saturday night for a few drinks. We did not order food as we had just eaten. However the barmaid,(dont know if she was the owner or not) refused to serve us any more at 11.30pm saying that when the restaurant was closed so was the Bar.She made no conversation with us even though we were the... with all the reviews for the Wild Honey Inn was expecting nice food but it was disappointing, I got the crabs claws for starters which was nice but the soda bread we got was definitely not fresh but because we were hungry we ate it. For main course i got the neck of lamb, tasted lovely but was tough with... More

Difficult to find enough superlatives for the food here. chef Aidan McGrathprepares local food with skill and imagination. The tomatoes in the lobster/tomato appetizer tasted the way they did 30 years ago. The duck skin was perfectly seared without over cooking the meat. Don't miss the toffee pudding. Negative was heat and noise and overwhelmed staff.

We had an evening meal here, mid-August 2014.Even though it was late, justbefore 9 p.m. there was no problem in being served. Place was busy, friendly staff, clean, tasty, well-prepared food. Not expensive, for the quality of food we got. Well done!

We had a fantastic meal her in Mid July. The risotto , Crab claws, Lamb and Hake were all simply wonderful. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again, the setting was lovely and staff were professional friendly and helpful despite being very busy. It really was a top class experience

Recently ate an early meal at this well-known spot in Lisdoonvarna. I have to recommend it thoroughly. Food was very high standard, a nice wine list, a cosy place to sit and dine and the staff are A1. Only gripe: the bathrooms are very much consistent with a pub setting and really could use an upgrade. Otherwise, we'll be back.... More
