i am a bit late writing this review as it was the end of june when we were in dublin for my 60th birthday. We had been out for a drive with a few stop offs and we passed this place and as it was dinner time, decided to go in for a meal. The meal was served on a... More

Pleasant waitstaff. Lovely view of the marina. Good food. We ate here twice during our stay in Howth.

Our group of six had a last minute reservation and was able to land a table upstairs on a very busy Saturday night -- we had dinner quite late after 9:00 p.m. The service was prompt and fantastic. Our food was good and I thought reasonably priced. We all enjoyed the chips with parmesan and truffles as a starter. I... More

Three of us went or a bite to eat on a Monday. Marc served us and he and his colleagues were very friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious- the calamari starter was generous and delicious, the mussels a must! There was a little hiccup with one drink- the waiter took that off the bill and gave us a dessert... More

Had lunch here, disappointingly the upstairs seating area wasn't open, but we got a window seat downstairs in the conservatory style area. We both had butternut squash soup and open sandwich (crusty bread, relish, chicken, cheese, topped with rocket/baby leaf & sundried tomatoes) for 9.95, pint of Guinness and a sparkling water. Bit of a wait for the food, but... More

We had a family lunch here on Easter Saturday. The food, when it eventually arrived, was OK, average, but nothing special. The problem was the service/organisation of the place – there was none. A 40min wait for a starter and an 83min wait for a main course is unacceptable. Chirpy cries of “the kitchen’s backed up, don't worry, it’s on... More

I have yet to have a good experience in Findlaters. The service is always terrible, even when the place is empty. Food is overpriced and lacking flavour. There are too many great restaurants in Howth for them to be so complacent

We were at a party here on saturday night. 120 of us for the 21st celebration... The staff were brilliant and really looked after us all night. Nothing was too much trouble. They made a great fuss of the birthday girl and gave us a bottle of Prosecco to say happy birthday,,, a nice gesture from the staff. Cocktails were... More
