We found the Blackberry Cafe by accident and stopped in for lunch. The cafe itself was a nice, cozy, "feels like home" little restaurant which served up some great lunch for two hungry tourists. Of course, the display of delicious looking snacks and desserts wasn't lost on us either and they didn't disappoint. We felt like we got a taste... More

We were staying near Thomastown and fancied a coffee and a small bite to eat. We saw the Blackberry Café and thought that we'd give it a go. Good decision. Lovely home made cakes and sandwiches. Quiches too!

Nice small location for coffee, soup and snack. Not suitable for larger meals. Nice homemade cakes. Popular with locals.

One of our first mornings in Ireland and feeling jet-lagged and we had to walk past this place to get back to the car. It was full of happy people all talking and sipping their coffee, so I told my wife we needed to go in and check it out. we ordered lattes and cappuccinos, and a hot chocolate with... More

I visited here today with my husband and 3 young children. Delicious organic chicken and vegetable soup with scrummy brown bread. Really good selection of homemade cakes. Really quick friendly service. The owner brought a plate of Pringle crisps as an apology for the wait we had for our toasted sandwich. I was looking at some of the products for... More

Popped into the Blackberry for lunch during our stay at Mount Juliet. The sandwiches were very good and the hot cocoa definitely worth it! They have the best homemade bread. The service was quiet and not overly friendly but perhaps that was because of the somewhat annoying British lady who complained about her soup being not what she expected (it... More

Enjoyed a nice lunch break here with 2 colleagues while on a business trip to Thomastown. It was quite busy when we arrived just after 1pm and service was friendly and quick. I had an open cajun chicken sandwich on home made brown with salad and soup, followed up by a skinny latte - a very tasty way to "keep... More

We were nearby visiting Jerpoint Abbey, and this cafe had been recommended to us. Though it was a bit late for lunch the place was packed. Great sandwiches! I had chicken Tikka and my husband had ham, both on fresh homemade bread. We were hungry after walking so also had dessert. My coffee flavored cake was moist and delicious, made... More
