Most enjoyable lunch

Lovely food, well prepared and presented. Side salad fresh and different from usual one you get in most places. You can get loose-leaf tea (instead of tea bags) which is a BIG PLUS for me. Staff friendly helpful and efficient. Local fresh produce used. I will definitely be back.

I frequently enjoy lunch at the Blackberry and can honestly say they consistently deliver high quality fresh food in a lovely relaxed setting. I have also found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and attentive. They are exceptionally efficient and you never wait long even at peak times. The salads are fresh, the locally produced breads and cheeses delicious. The... More

The food is generally very good. Tried it now five or more times. My favourite is their sandwiches. Good big thick chunky bread. My only quibble would be with the staff (not the owner who seems a delight). They can be oddly rude at times and this has prevented me from visiting more often.

You know the way you go in to a café for the first time and you hope it will be good. The menu looks promising and you order, something simple, say soup and a sandwich. Then the food comes and you are delighted to find fresh local produce which raise it above the ordinary and you are pleased you took... More

Dropped in on Sunday afternoon for a takeaway coffee and was tempted by a slice of coffee cake. When there observed price of Mince pies and was horrified at price of €3.00 each. They were average looking and on small side. Deemed this as total Rip off when made on site ones an be bought and eaten at The Gourmet... More

We visited this cafe for lunch and were very impressed by the quality of the food. The cheese tarts were absolutely delicious and made with local cheeses. The salads and coffees were good too. The staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was good, and busy, as clearly the locals in Thomastown know a good thing when they see it. It... More

This place is a joy! Just about everything is home made. Fresh and tasty soup and salads, sandwiches, cakes and excellent coffee. What more can you want ... yes atmosphere ... and it's got that too. Love it - this is our third time visiting and it never fails to please. One point is that the cafe is small but... More

We've ordered coffee cake and chocolate cake. The coffee cake was nice but the chocolate one was too dry. Tasted a bit like leftover. The place is nice and cute but as we arrived 1 hour before they were supposed to close there were not many nice things as options.

We stopped there of a quick lunch on the road. Good soup, good choice of tasty sandwiches, good cakes (which seems to be a common and pleasurable habit in Ireland !). Nice service, fair prices, lovely decoration.

All home made or made from scratch dishes. My wife and I had soup and then split a sandwich so we could have room for the desserts. A VERY good decision as the sandwich is very generous.
