Really surprised that this restaurant has a lack of reviews , I was there with ten friends , and not only was the restaurant very busy, which added to a great atmosphere , the food was excellent . I had the king prawns and the monkfish , to be honest I could have had anything on the menu , as... More

Went here during a recent stay in Baltimore harbour. The service was superb, quick and courteous. The food was of a good standard but not exceptional. Main thing going for it was the magnificent view of the harbour.

Chez Youen, which now goes by the name of the Lookout Restaurant, which is part of the Waterfront Hotel complex, sitting above Jacob's Bar, has to be one of the freshest, best seafood restaurants we have ever had the pleasure to eat in. My partner, who is not a great seafood fan, had first introduction to lobster and loved it.... More

We spend last week in Baltimore, West Cork. An amazing part of Ireland. We ate in the Lookout (Previously Call Chez Youen). We share a Seafood platter, it was really excellent everythign from a whole Lobster to tiny shrimp. A good deal at €55 inc 1 desert and coffee. The kids ate fresh fish which they loved. The staff where... More

Stayed at the hotel and had reserved a table for two by the window in the restaurant, but on arrival at the appointed time we found that this table had been given to another couple. No compensation for that. Oyster and crab fine, but the monkfish was served almost cold.

You should note that Chez Youen is now a photo gallery and the restaurant is now called The Lookout and is part of The Waterfront Hotel complex. The husband and I had fond memories of Chez Youen from our holiday in West Cork the year we got married, so we were really looking forward to our visit to The Lookout.... More

Fish Platter or two - good value for four people.- nice presentation. The main course and dessert was way overpriced for what we had. Miniscule monk fish and baby john dorey. Vegetables - overcooked stirfry. The portion of tart was tiny and the fruit came quartered - quarter of pineapple and quarter of melon. Not what was expected from a... More
