Located in a fishing port so you would expect the fish to be great and it is. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Atmosphere food staff all excellent. Good house wine. Nice little bar to one side of the restaurant.

Although this used to be my favourite restaurant all over the beara peninsula many years ago i still give four stars to the food, the unusual building and the service. I can really recommend the place and would always come back (i live not too far away).

Lovely meal, couldn't fault from start to finish, had the brie - divine! carbonara for mains, beautiful! And sticky toffee pudding for desert....couldn't say a bad word about it, staff were also lovely and quick to serve and very busy the same night!

Called in just to meet friends who were dining there, was made welcome and kindly seated with them by the staff...decided to have desert....its hard to beat their delicious deserts, easy to see why this is highly rated based on the care and attention of the owner/manager who was in circulation making sure everything was running smoothly, 3rd time visiting... Nice little restaurant. Not fancy, but then none of them are in Castletownbere. What you will get is good service, friendly waiting staff and a good selection on the menu. I had mussels followed by the monkfish special and my friend had soup, followed by plaice. The only let down was the soup, which had been over-nuked and remained impossibly... More

Booking was for the busiest day/weekend in Castletownbere at the last sitting - but the food + service was still excellent + showed no signs of fatigue. The fish + meat dishes were full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Service was very pleasant and efficient.

Had the early bird. The brie and fish cakes were good as was the fish and chips. The plaice was outstanding. The lemon merringue left a little to be desired. As adults though, a very good meal offering excellent value for money (17.95 for 2 courses). The kids had the option of the usual choices (fish/nuggets/pasta) but they were not... More

Arrived at 18:59 and they still gave us the early bird menu. Lovely baked hake and no funny looks when I asked for the sauce on the side...
