On a drive from Macroom around Cork we stopped at Bantry and needed a snack. This lovely café was opposite where we parked and looked nice. Got scones and tea. Very nice. Good service. Scone was not heated but then again I never asked for it heated, but it was lovely regardless. Would return.

We looked for a good caffe latte, which was hard to find on Bantry, but the service in the De Barra's Cafe was very friendly, they gave us mild for our little son without charging it.

Stopped at De Barra,s on arrival at Bantry after a long drive and it set the tone for our stay in West Cork. The staff were so cheerful and friendly - I thought they must be mistaken us for people they knew !!. Really nice nice and chatty. Our waitress recommended places to visit and really made us feel welcome.... More

We go to De Barra's regularly for morning coffee or a snack lunch. It's a good place to meet friends and spend time without being hurried.

A very busy cafe serving breakfast through lunch. Everything home cooked - particularly good on Sunday morning when not much else is open. Serving excellent full breakfast, delicious coffee ( soya cappuccino is no problem) and wonderful warm scones - but get there early as they soon sell out.

Arrived in Bantry in the pouring rain. Right near the Town Square this little restaurant (cafe) gave welcome shelter from the elements with a warm spot of tea, a wonderful bowl of homemade Veggie Soup and 'homegrown' Ham Sandwich ( I have to buy one of those sandwich plants). One of our young servers was not only drop dead gorgeous... More
