Real Irish welcome at The Snug !!

18th March 2015, visiting relatives in Bantry, called in at the Snug,a really first class lunch was had by all. Lovely fresh home cooked food, staff excellent, nothing to much trouble, can't wait to go back.

Lovely pints of Guinness and open prawn sandwichs. Chatty barman too. Cosy table with novel use of wood!

Called in for an early supper. The snug is as the name denotes snug on room. Not the most comfortable seating and fairly compact but the food never disappoints. I had the garlic mushrooms with SS and chips and my husband had the beef special. Fabulous food. Friendly barman worth a visit.

This pub is on the Quay, just down the road from the Maritime Hotel, and as the name suggests, it's a comfortable little spot. Food seems to be big here, and although I didn't have any, most of the other customers were. The barman was very laid back, but was very friendly, and made me feel welcome, in a funny... More

Whereas any fish dish here will be superb, they can make a beautiful steak. This bar restaurant is small but cosy. The Snug is a must when visiting Bantry.

This cosy pub serves beautiful food at affordable prices. As a fish lover I was in food heaven the portions are generous and everything comes quickly and piping hot. My companions had the roast of the day, Beef the first day Lamb the second and were not disappointed. The staff are not pushy just there when you want them.

This is a small bar / Restaurant. Staff are warm welcoming and attentive. The place is tight enough and though not extraordinarily busy we found ourselves sitting at the bar, which to be fair was no great inconvenience . The food overall is very good. We shared a plate of twelve stuffed mussels to start. They were delicious but somewhat... More

We dined at 'The Snug' on the recommendation of friends who live locally in Kilcrohane during our recent stay in West Cork. The welcome we received was really friendly, the atmosphere cosy, the service excellent and the food simple but delicious. The steak is excellent (in fact we ate here three times during our stay and the quality was consistently... More
