Visited the snug on a Wednesday evening, the atmosphere was superb with friendly and helpful staff. Although there is an great choice on the menu of many traditional and seasonal dishes Our party opted for the locally sourced sirloin steaks, and I can honestly say I have never had better. We were later told that not only were the steaks... More

Visited Snug last Wednesday night had the most amazing steak cooked absolutely to perfection . Steaks sourced from a Board Bia Approved farm from Goleen. Staff were very attentive and polite. Throughly enjoyed our evening there, A must visit eating house when in Bantry!

A small rustic feeling restaurant, "snug" is the perfect word to describe this gem in Bantry bay. The staff help to create a relaxed and easy-going environment which made our brief wait for our food well worth while. We all ordered steaks to varying degrees of cooking and were all highly satisfied with the outcome. The locally sourced meat was... More

Great food at a decent price! nice and cozy place. Only problem was waiting for around 40 min for a table, and then trying to get the waitress' attention (she would come and go many times without even looking and realising we were trying to call her).

A group of four dined in the Snug last Wednesday Evening.we were seated at a table that was suitable for two maybe three at a squeeze..we were a bit disappointed with the breaded mussels,a little flavourless.one of us choose the monkfish,it was a little tough,at the price it should have been better quality.choices of chicken cod and salmon, were appreciated.service was... If Bilbo the Hobbit had a bar and filled it with locals of all sorts, it would look like Snug. The place was PACKED. But that's because it is good: good food, reasonably priced bar and a nice staff riding out the chaos. The decor really is raw cut wood planks and sections, sanded and finished and jammed into every... More

I go here occasionally with my husband. Food is ok..biggest disappointment about this place is that the space inside it is so limited..It always feels very crowded..Staff are plesant & helpful
